Military Inspired Style
Today I’m sharing another look from the May Mom Style challenge hosted by Kristy at Seven Graces Blog. When I first saw military inspired as the prompt, camo was the first thing to come to mind. Since I needed an outfit for the office that particular day I decided to dress it up a bit.
I started with a basic black dress which is something most of us always have on hand. This swing dress is nearing four years old but I’ve yet to find a replacement I love more. I’ve also created this same look with a black maxi.
This cuff gave the perfect amount of camo but is still dressy enough for the office and I love how it works with the Renegade bracelet. The striped clutch would make this outfit perfect for date night or a girls night out.

I topped the dress with a lightweight olive jacket perfect for summer. Mine is from several years back but this one was marked down as part of the 1/2 annual sale and it is super cute. You know what else is on sale? This adorable pair of sandals! I grabbed these last summer during the anniversary sale and they are now marked down to that same price and there are still multiple colors available. Super comfortable and guaranteed to bring compliments! Don’t forget this bag I’m sure you are all tired of seeing! While the clutch is perfect for a date night, this striped tote is my go to for the office.
A little black dress should have the perfect amount of swing don’t you think? The material of this dress is jersey and it is so comfortable but hides any flaws. I found this one which looks so similar.
Do you have a favorite piece to for a little military inspiration?

Absolute perfection- you’re giving me some major ideas for my new black dress
also can I add a big hug and a ayayayayayayaya. Just spoke with Andrea.
Muah! Thank you Deena…cannot wait!
I have all of hear thing to create this look! So going to copy this!! Have a great weekend!
Yes you do!!! Can’t wait to see you spin it Sarah!
This is super cute! I need to learn to be more of heels girl than a flats girl- those shoes are great!
SA-LUTE! Love how you incorporated camo with a LBD. I paired my camo jeans with a blush cardi with metallic threads last week and really liked it. I think the contrast between traditionally masculine and absolutely feminine are fun. Wonder if you are able to catch up with your ball-playing boy over this long weekend. Hope so!
LOVE this look. I think I woud probably live in that jacket if it was hanging in my closet.
You could definitely create the similar look with your fun vest!
Oh, I am definitely inspired to copy everything about this look! I love it all, and particularly appreciate a way to incorporate my olive jacket more.
The olive jacket is one of my favorite pieces and I always think it’s more of a fall piece but adding it this time of the year works just as well. Can’t wait to see you spin it!
I’m with Deena on the secret yayayayayayay! I love this whole look and want to copy it too! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!
This is the perfect outfit!
Your accessories make this look girl! I love your clutch, the bracelets and that jacket! Fabulous!
