Loft Try On – Style Six
Today I’m flashing back to a calmer time just two weeks ago when I was still casually browsing Loft for a few cute spring finds. I found a few wins and lucky for you they are still on sale so today I’m sharing a little Loft try on for this weeks Style Six!
I am always looking for a pair of work pants that are flattering and fun and it typically proves to be more of a challenge than I would expect. This higher waisted pair with a flared leg were promising and so comfortable but in the end I felt they were not the most flattering for my hips.
This top, however, is so darn cute! The last thing I need to add to my closet is another one of these tops, but y’all, I cannot stop with them! They are so perfect for dressing up under a jacket or cardigan but look equally as cute with jeans or shorts.
I love a sweet ruffle but they really do have to be perfectly placed or instead of looking sweet and delicate they will add weight. These dainty ruffles are placed perfectly and I love the variation in the stripes.
Of course I just saw this adorable gingham print and my eyes lit up! How darling would it be for 4th of July!!
Another pant that failed for me but mainly because there were no real pockets. I didn’t hate them and they were a great crop length but they were also a little more see through than I would like for a white pant.
I initially wanted to try the dress in this pattern and it was a huge fail. Something just wasn’t quite right about the fit on my body. The midi skirt, however, was darling but I would say to size up if you are wider across the hips. I loved it with this ruffle sleeve top which also has a cute bar back detail.
Peplum tops have to hit just right for me or they just end up adding bulk. This one comes in several colors and a stripe and they really make great little spring tops as they are great for layering too.
The pants I’m still on the fence over but I did end up bringing home a pair in a deep gray. They are super comfortable but I’m just not sold on whether they flatter my shape or not.
Eyelet is always an eye catcher for me and I love the twist this one has in the olive. This top also made it for the final cut and I need to evaluate my closet to decide if it really does have a new home. My rule is it really does need to work to build several looks with items I already have.
Somehow I missed a still shot of these two items but I’ve already worn the multiple times. A great, lightweight cardigan is something I can always use here in the Texas climate and this one is perfect. It comes in two other colors as well. Of course I tried it with this salmon colored tank and decided they just looked too cute together not to both make the trip to my closet! Can we ooh and ahh over this combo with the leopard loafers!?
What items are you adding to your spring closet? Truth be told I should really not be shopping right now but I’m finding myself either stress eating or stress shopping during our little shelter in place situation.
My pick from last weeks Style Six linkup is this adorable lemon inspired dress. If nothing else hop over to see her beautiful pictures in this post! Will you be the favorite next week? Linkup for your best chance!
