Holiday Style

·
Yesterday I shared how we Decked the Halls in our home and today I’m so excited to be participating  in the Texas Christmas Bloghop hosted by Stacey at Poofing Your Pillows.  When she asked me if I would share a fashion post I was so flattered!  Here are a few of my favorite ways to show a little holiday style.

{Holiday Flare}

Similar dress (here and here)
I purchased this fun little dress in 2014 but you can find a similar style in beautiful blue here. Last year this dress made and appearance at a cocktail Christmas party. I also think it would make a great dress for attending a holiday event such as a performance of the Nutcracker ballet or the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular.
This time I would definitely carry a leopard clutch and opt for black suede peep toe heels similar to these here.
I am always up for adding a little extra sparkle and I love this simple bracelet from Stella & Dot or a cluster of pearls necklace would be a nice touch.  I would also consider a faux fur stole to warm it up a bit.

{Holiday Sparkle}

For a holiday party needing a little sparkle but not requiring a power dress, I think adding a simple sequin tank under a festive jacket works well.   Keeping the tank and pants the same color also helps provide a slimming effect during this time of year when I’m feeling just a tad fluffy.
Adding a fun pair of shoes is an easy way to add a little punch to an otherwise plain outfit. I pull these out every year around the holidays.

{Holiday Social}

This week I have a girls night out planned with some sweet friends and this sweater definitely says I’m ready to celebrate and have a little fun.
I think pairing with leopard shoes really works well with the gold dots but that’s just me!  The Stella & Dot Rebel Pendant is definitely one of the most worn items I own.  It is just so simple but perfectly accents almost any outfit.

{Holiday Casual}

When Christmas day finally arrives I’m all about enjoying the day with my family and that means wearing something I feel comfortable in.   This red sweater from Target paired with a great plaid scarf and will allow me to feel pulled together  while my favorite Paige denim will allow me to also be comfortable enough to enjoy my fave tamales!
Any boots would really work with this look; high, low, uggs.  I love these Frye boots and receive compliments every time I wear them.  If you are looking for a great polish to amp up your holiday style, I have loved OPI I’m Not Really a Waitress for probably the past 10 years.  I have tried others but always come back to this shade of red.
What is your favorite way to sparkle over the holidays?  Wishing you all a very merry and style filled Christmas!
