Holiday Looks From the closet
I love pulling together merry looks this time of year and I’m always surprised how many combinations I can pull togethe. This year I have added one new piece to the rotation but other than that I already had everything I needed to create holiday looks from the closet.
It will never be a bad idea to start with an all black base when it comes to getting dressed any time of the year so I decided this week to apply that to my holiday closet. I’m a little heavier this year, so tucking in my flannel isn’t as attractive but I still wanted to wear it because it’s such a fun holiday plaid. Instead of tucking it in, I used it more like a jacket and I loved how it turned out. Adding a belt to acccent my waist helps this to look more pullled together.
This velvet blazer is several years old and a purchase I’m so glad I made. I never realized how much I would wear it until it was in my closet. It works well in so many ways and over so many pieces. I’m tempted to grab one in another fun holiday color especially since these are 50% off!
Of course a cardigan is always a cozy idea and I love this one in deep green. It creates a great outfit on it’s own this time of year but add a scarf with a pop of red and you have an easy holiday inspired look.
If a black on black looks works, why not try an all white base? Y’all, this look seriously made me feel like a queen! I have always loved the look of winter white but always struggle to find the right look. Based on the number of comments I received yesterday, this was a WINNING combo!
Of course I rarely make it through the season without adding at least a little something new and this top was my find this year. I wore it with my faux leather pants for our first Christmas party and received so many compliments! The biggest compliment was probably the fact that another guest had on the same top.
