Happy 25th Birthday Jordan!

· ·
In the midst of watching the movie Cocktail in 1990 I knew immediately Jordan was the name for you!  I wanted you to have a beautiful name that was also strong.  I have loved every single stage of your 25 years, some more than others.  Watching you become the beautiful, strong woman you have become has been such an honor.  Today, on your 25th birthday, know you have made me feel more love in my heart than I could have ever imagined.  I am so incredibly proud of you and all you have accomplished in this short time.  This past year has held some struggles but you have definitely come out on top and I have loved seeing that big smile back on your face!

Sweet girl you are……

Beautiful with eyelashes people pay for and a smile to melt any heart
Enjoyable to be around with a laugh that is contagious
Energetic and take care to stay active and mindful of your body
Loving to your family
Role model to your siblings
Loyal to your friends
Non judgmental of others
Fashionable and I’m often envious how you throw an outfit together so effortlessly
Living….I’m so happy to see you living and traveling and doing so many fun things
Awesome at putting on makeup and I really don’t know where you learned that!!
Brunette….again….so jealous!
Forgiving but have learned there are sometimes things you cannot forget
Budget conscious…..I was so proud to see you buy your own car this year!
Career oriented and actually loving your job!  You are spoiled there..I know.
Reminding me a lot of a girl I once knew….thank goodness she turned out okay.
My hope for you in this 26th year is that you learn to see yourself for all that you are.  Accept your weaknesses and play your strengths.  Lean on others when you need to and pick people up when they need you.  Know that you are only a small spec in this big world but a special and chosen one.  Trust the plan God has for your life even when it seems insane.  And in the end know that home is still where your momma is.
I love you baby girl and hope this is the best year yet!

  1. A beautiful girl – both inside and out – just like her mama! Happy birthday, Jordan! (and, for the record, she can't be 25 because I'm only 27) 🙂
