Friday Shout Outs!

Taking a little time today to give a little Shout Out to a few special folks who have had a part in making me smile this month!  I love this little space and the people I’ve had a chance to meet.
We have a WINNER!  Last week I posted a sweet giveaway to celebrate my 2nd Blogiversary and today I’m announcing Sarah from Foxys Domestic Side as the winner, winner!  Sarah your prize is on the way and I can’t wait to hear how you like the products!
A special shout out to Emily of Simply a Rough Draft.  I have been following Emily since earlier this year and we have seemed to click in many areas.  She is an adorable wife and mom to 3 cuties and also is a Texas girl!  She has a new series, Meet and Greet Monday, in which she showcases a different blogger each week with a little interview.  I was super duper honored to be on her list this month!  Emily, thank you so much for including me. It’s because of bloggers like you becoming a blogger has been so much more fun!  Head on over and check out Emily’s Friday Favorites!
Y’all, Shay at Mix & Match Mama was one of the very first bloggers I followed!  I have tried so many of her recipes which have been huge hits with my family.  How exciting to receive this special delivery on my porch last weekend.  I can hardly wait to dive right in and make some of these yummy dishes.  Shay has laid the book out by month and includes so many delicious options.  Do yourself a favor and pre-order this book now!  In fact, order one for all the women in your family AND they make amazing teacher gifts.  Thank you so much Shay!
Seriously, when you are scrolling through Instagram and see your own face and it shocks you it can just make your day!  Thanks so much Laura for twinning with me!  You look adorable.
And my biggest shout out is to my friends Holly and Katy who I somehow convinced to run away with me for the weekend!  We are heading to Austin with hopes of having some blogger brainstorming but in all reality we really are all in need of some time away from activities and people in our daily lives that we love so dearly!  Mom life is the best but sometimes you just have to rest up and refocus.  You can of course follow along on Instagram or Snapchat (queeninbetween1) but we will be sure to also recap all the fun we find right here on the blog.

High school football has kicked off all over Texas and college football will be following really soon. Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 30th and come share your favorite football team with Katy and I as we host Spiel the Beans with the Queens

Hope you all have an amazing weekend!

And second of all, wasn't it so incredible to receive your advanced copy of Shay's book?! She was the first blog I started reading and I almost died when she emailed to ask if I wanted a copy. I just love her so much! I posted about that in my Friday Five today as well! We made the Taco Joes this past week and they were delicious. I'm about to make her Pumpkin Marshmallow Frozen Pie really soon, too. It sounds divine.

  6. I totally know exactly where Yoakum is…in fact I think my very first boyfriend is a principal at a school there. 🙂 I am originally from Wharton and had lots of family in Gonzales so we traveled that area some. Have a super weekend!
