Friday Favorites – What I Packed for vacation

Carly & I recently headed to Playa Mujeres, Mexico for a sweet little vacation to celebrate her high school graduation. I shared all about our trip earlier this week, but thought I would share Friday Favorites and what I packed for vacation since there were a few fun wins.

Bag

I’ve been watching Cassie from Hi Sugarplum jet around the world with this Luka bag forever and finally decided to try it. When we decided to go to mexico for a getaway, I knew I wanted to pack in a carry on and this bag definitely helped me be successful. It holds way more than I ever dreamed it would, is so soft and expandable and fits perfectly under the seat of the plane. It rode along easily on the top of my roller bag and I can’t wait for my next trip! I needed a new overnight bag anyway so it was worth the splurge.

Bottles

I’ve always been the girl who just used what was available at the hotel for shampoo and conditioner but as I continue to work on treating my hair with care and using cleaner products, I decided it was time to bring my own. I LOVE these squeezable bottles! They were easy to fill and held so much but were still TSA approved sizes.

Coverup

I didn’t realize how long I’ve had this swim coverup until I went to look for the link! This one has been a favorite in my drawer since 2020 if you can believe that. I love that it buttons up and it looks darling over denim shorts so it’s easy to go from the beach to a casual dinner. I’ve really been trying not to add new things that I don’t really need and honestly, for the few times a year I pull out a swim coverup this one works perfectly! I did buy this pair of high waist black bottoms in my current size to go with a top I already had and they worked for the price.

Mineral Sunscreen
Sunscreen

I have been using a sunscreen from Beautycounter for years that I love but given that currently it has gone away, we needed something new. This is a mineral sunscreen and it was very smooth and non greasy. Sometimes a face sunscreen will cause me to breakout but this one gave me no issues and it will be my new go to.

The only other piece of clothing I bought new was this $8 tank that I love! Carly grabbed the same one in this baby blue stripe and we were both raving about them. Super soft and comfortable but not too long. It worked great with my denim shorts. I am laughing looking at this sunrise picture and realizing that I still have sheet marks on my face! Ahh…take me back to the sunrising over the ocean anytime!

It’s been a really long time since I’ve rounded up some favorites but these were too good not to share with you! We are headed too see George Strait tomorrow with 100,000 of our closest friends at Kyle Field here in College Station. I’m not sure if this was one of my best purchases or not but I’ll let you know next week. Until then, have a lovely weekend.

  1. I clicked on the bathing suit bottom but it also takes me to the sunscreen ??? Anyway, was just curious about the swim suit bottoms! I also purchased that black tank at Target and LOVE IT!
