Friday Favorites – A Little TGIF ‘ing
It was only a four day week for me at the office but it has seemed like 10! I have not been feeling 100% myself and every day I have tried to get to bed at a decent time only to lay staring at the ceiling for hours. I’m looking forward to the weekend and sleeping in.
Here is what I’m TGIF‘ing today!
{Thanking} my Mom who came and stayed the 5 days with my kidos so I could sneak off to California with my husband. So nice to know the kids (and Dutch too) are safe at home and in their normal routine. Do you leave detailed notes for your parents? I’m addicted to Pic Monkey and put together this little note which included all the details for each day we were gone. I’m so thankful she was flexible because the rain and Dillon being on crutches most of the week definitely made things interesting.
{Going} back to Fort Worth for the weekend! No rest for the weary as TCU will take on the Baylor Bears for the first Big 12 Conference series. Go Frogs! We are going to have all the kids together plus my mom and my brother which will make it a special weekend. My ex-inlaws, who are super special to me as well, will also be there! This is one of the only weekends Dillon is not also playing baseball somewhere so we are going to enjoy this time as a family before things really get nuts!
{Interacting} with other bloggers has honestly been the most rewarding part of this journey so far. I hope someday I can inspire others the way some of these ladies have inspired me. If you are not taking time to do some interacting with other bloggers, whether through your favorite linkups or following on Bloglovin’ or Instagram, you are truly missing out on what this blog world has to offer. I was a little overwhelmed at first but have been trying to organize the blogs in Bloglovin’ to better keep up which has really helped. Now I can quickly scan the topics in my groupings when I have a quick minute or a long Saturday morning and catch up! Here is a little visual if you haven’t yet begun using the grouping feature.
{Finding} it much harder than I remember to adjust to daylight savings time this year. I think having the time spring forward while I was in California really compounded my bodies response! I had just gotten use to the West Coast time and then bam…lose and hour and come back to Texas and adjust to the two hour time difference. Hopefully this weekend I will get back on track!
***I just saw this and HAD to come back and update this to share my FAVORITE skinny jeans will be on sale through Sunday for $29 at Burlap & Pearls Boutique! I love these jeans…perfect amount of stretch and they hold their shape perfectly. I have the silver on the left and the mustard on the right and I also have some in white. For $29 and FREE SHIPPING they are worth a try if you are in the market! ***
I’ll leave you with this quote a friend sent me via text this morning….her timing was more perfect than she could ever know!
“The past is behind, learn from it. The future is ahead, prepare for it. The present is here, live it.”
– Thomas S. Monson
Have a super weekend friends!
And don’t forget to check out my favorite linkups here and join the fun!
Yes to the time change–it's been rough! And I couldn't agree more about the interacting with other bloggers–it's been so much fun making friends through the process that was and sometimes still is totally outside of my element. I'm so going to try the grouping though–how did I not know about that?!? Happy Friday!
Hope you get all "caught up" on this crazy time change over the weekend. Have a great one!
I honestly love the blogging community – there are so many wonderful women that I've met through this crazy world and I love it! I need to get better and organizing my bloglovin!! Hope you have a great weekend!
I have gone a little crazy but when I find someone that appeals to me I just can't stand to miss out!! The grouping and save feature has really helped me. Have a great weekend!
Thank you for update with Blog Lovin. I am apparently out of the loop because I never realized it has so many features now! I am going to get my butt in gear and look into this more because my OCD self loves to have my blogs organized. Sorry you and not feeling well Hun, hope you feel better soon!
Good luck! I keep saying I have to draw the line and no new blogs…yeah right!! Have a great weekend.
Time change has kicked out booties this year!! We are still strugglin'!!! drives me crazy!
Love your PicMonkey visual for Nana! Too cute! And, how did I not know about the Grouping feature in Bloglovin?!
