Tutorial: Find Your {Word} Swag
Happy Friday!
Instead of my typical Friday favorites I thought I would share just one of my very favorite apps. Many of you may already know about this one but I absolutely love it and could not keep it to myself for those of you who do not! Word Swag is a {mostly} free application with a few options available to unlock for a small fee. So far I have been perfectly satisfied with what free has to offer.
What can Word Swag do for you? Well let’s take a look!
Here is what you see upon entering the application.
You have two initial options to get started; choose the camera to take a picture to use or choose the pictures (for those of you who actually recognize the polaroid) to get started with a stock background or a picture from your camera roll.
There are quite a few backgrounds to choose from including some real life pictures, solid backgrounds and many more patterns than are shown or like I mentioned you just head to your camera roll and choose your own. Once you have chosen your background you will double tap the screen to move on to adding your words.
When I first began using this app I always knew what quote or bible verse I was using. It wasn’t until later I realized the categories down the left sidebar actually included some canned quotes, sayings, etc. Fun! Choose a category and then if you click that little icon I have highlighted (sorry no clue what that one is called) it will flip through all the quotes available. Once you are satisfied you have the words you want it’s time to save & close and move on to adding some swag!
There are so many styles to choose from and more than likely you will begin finding the one that fit your style perfectly. This is the point where some of the styles are locked and you have the option to download for a price.
If you find the style you like but the wording is just not lining up quite the way you want, you can pick 1 through 5 or just begin “rolling the dice” and the program will mix the words up a bit using the same basic style.
Still looking for a little more swagger? You can head to the color icon and choose a different color for the wording from those available. Still not satisfied? You can invert the colors for more word play.
Once you have your word swag just perfect, choose done and the program will save to your camera roll and provide options for sharing.
I love, love, love this program! Anytime something is this user friendly and produces such a fun result I can’t keep it a secret. Carly Jo has been playing with it too as I’m constantly finding her swag all over my phone!
I would agree, she is awesome! And so is the Word Swag app! Go check it out in your spare time this weekend…but be warned it is addictive. You’re welcome!
Here are just a few other examples I’ve done since finding Word Swag!

how can I be so technologically inept and not know about this cuteness? so thankful for others like you to keep me up to date. love how fun and unlimited the options seem!!!
So fun!! I will have to check this out!! Good luck to those Frogs!
Thanks so much for posting this!! Looks fun and easy. Would you say it is sort of like pic monkey? I have only played around with pic monkey a couple of times. I just haven't had the time to really sit down and figure it out. This looks like an easy alternative.
It is a simpler alternative for a quicky project where you just need words. It does not have near the functionality of Pic Monkey….I'm a pic monkey junkie too…oh my goodness. In fact I used pic monkey to add my tutorial info in this post. 🙂
I love this! What a neat app. Thanks for sharing and happy Friday!
What a cool app!! I've never heard of it before but I've always wondered how people create those quotes and pretty images like that. Thanks for sharing the details on this!

This is great! This will be the perfect way to keep up my posting on instagram on days when I'm not looking cute enough for an #ootd shot 🙂 Thanks for sharing!!
So easy and so much fun!
