Let’s just say I have got to get my shiz together! I don’t know if the whole spring break fever + the time change just threw me off or what but this week has been a doozy. Insomnia took hold a couple of nights and I’ve been scrambling to catch up ever since. Work has also been just a little more intense than usual this week+I have a crick in my back/neck and the combo of all these things has me feeling so glad it’s Friday! All this being said….my Friday Favorites are a little iffy but here goes.
Favorite Tip
Do you follow Biana at
B Loved Boston? I just love her style and she always seems to find the best little tips to share. Yesterday she mentioned the
Wunderlist application which has me all curious given my current crazy state. I love lists and make them constantly but they often seem to lack any organization! Plus I inevitably think of something for my list at home while I’m at work or my list at work while I’m at home and this sounds like it would give me access just about anywhere. Have you tried this app? Would love to know if you have what you think. If you are using something else that you love please share!

I couldn’t NOT share this beautiful idea with all of you! On the surface this appears to be an ordinary wedding picture but what you don’t know is my amazing friend
Katy planned this for her 10th anniversary! That’s right friends, not only does she still fit into her wedding dress 10 years and 3 kids later but she planned this day and when her man showed she surprised him in her wedding dress. You definitely want to read all about this and the rest of her gift to him
here. Seeing people celebrate their marriage through the thick and thin is so my favorite!
Favorite Recipes
Brooke Griffin’s from Skinny Mom has a new cookbook, Skinny Suppers: 125 Lightened-Up, Healthier Meals for Your Family, which arrived at my house on Wednesday and I can’t wait to browse this weekend and work on some fun new dinners. I definitely think a spiralizer is on my wish list (hmmm…maybe Wunderlist can keep track of my wishes too) and it might just be time to try it out.
Favorite Design Idea
I am in love with this post at Still Being Molly. Y’all, my mom still has all our 45’s and any albums I had plus her haul and I have dreams of someday using them in an office or guest bedroom. I so love the idea of using these on the ceiling in a fun way. Molly is an adorable little mom with great style and lots of passion so you should check her out.
Favorite New Tool
So I’m pretty sure I also learned about Fotojet after a mention from Biana. I’ll be honest, at first I was thinking I really didn’t want to try something new. I mean PicMonkey has served me so well but I was curious and popped over. If you love making collages and images such as the one above I can tell you Fotojet has the upper hand on PicMonkey. Of course don’t miss my fun post on the 10 Ways to Experience Fort Worth! This little flashback is just the memory I needed this Friday.
If you are hosting Easter and looking for a yummy fruit salad make sure to check this one out! It was my Meme’s secret recipe and always a winner.
Today is a half day of work…..time to make it count! Then it’s all about food, family, fellowship and celebrating the love of Jesus. Wishing you all an amazing Easter weekend.
And all my favorites from the week can be found

I'm with you girl…Olivia has been home the past two weeks for spring break, the boys had off last week, only 3 days of school this week, I'm ready for next week and a routine again! Have a wonderful Easter !!! Xoxo
I just can't get myself together girl….I need a week at home alone! haha
I wish I could still fit into my wedding dress! Ha! Happy Easter, friend!
I love the font you used with Fotojet! And I love PicMonkey, so I'll have to check it out if it has the upper hand! I have 3 new tabs open on my computer now, so thanks for sharing all the links this week! 🙂
That was my favorite difference with Fotojet….the template and fonts were already there and I just had to add my text. I've got to get Wunderlist all figured out…I really think it may be a lifesaver.
I can't wait to give Fotojet a try! I don't find PicMonkey that intuitive, so still use WordSwag and Picasa for the few graphics that I make for my blog. I also still feel like I'm on vacation time. I feel like I have been moving in slow motion this week and can't keep up. Have a happy Easter weekend!
That is what I was loving about Fotojet Tanya….the fonts, layout, etc was already chosen and I just had to pop in my text. I love Wordswag too.
Spring Break hangover – it's a real thing! I have been out of whack all week too! OK – this post was fabulous! 1) you had me at LIST and now I'm all kinds of addicted to Wunderlist (seriously, I had to stop messing with it just so I could comment, 2) Katy – all the heart eyes!, 3) family dinner night with the McJanacs?!, 4) you MUST use those vinyls on the ceiling! and, if you need any help, I know a guy that's good at hanging art from the ceiling…, and 5) I'm off to check out Fotojet!!! Seriously awesome post!
and I wanted to test out what you sent me earlier this week (thank you!) – and feel free to delete this comment! 😉
While I'm Waiting
Happy Easter! Hope you have a fabulous weekend!
Love the albums on the ceiling! Such a neat idea!
LOVE me some fruit salad! It's one of things I associate with Christmas morning (weird).
The albums on the ceiling is brilliant and looks so awesome!
Simply Shaunacey
I feel like I had a delayed response to Day Light Savings. I couldn't get enough sleep! I love that it's light later but it's so tough getting up in the morning. Haha.
Oh my gosh…I need to check out Skinny Suppers!
I can't wait to browse her book! A friend of mine from the gym has been making so many delish meals that don't look uber complicated. Have a super week!
That nursery is seriously the cutest, love it and now I am off to check out that fruit salad recipe. It looks SO good!
