Friday Favorites

June is quickly flying by and so far we have packed in a weekend getaway, a baseball trip to San Antonio, a 7 on 7 tourney and 25 hours of dance class!  This weekend we have both baseball and 7 on 7 football plus a mom and son date night with our besties to see the new Cars movie!  Even though there is tons of running around there is still something just so sweet about summer.  We stay up too late for sure but I love those late night talks and 10pm Sonic runs.  How is your summer shaping up?

Here are a few things I’m loving right now!

My skin is quite dry anyway but add in the summer heat and those late nights when I skip a few days washing my face and my skin starts looking so dull.  My friend, Tanya, mentioned the Clinique moisture surge masque a few months back and I ordered right away.  My favorite part about this masque is you rub it in and leave it all night long.  It’s been a huge addition to my skincare a few times a week.

The next morning I wake up and use my favorite micro-dermabrasion paste to gently exfoliate and I have a great glow and feel like my skin is totally refreshed.  This jar typically last me 6-8 months if not longer.  This was the very first R+F product I tried and used it for a year before adding any other products.

Here I am sans all makeup fresh from a workout!  If it were not for my dark circles I really do think I would go without makeup more often. I really wish I had a before picture of my neck too.  That is one area I have really seen my age creep into my skin and it was driving me crazy.  I finally started using the amp roller paired with the newest R+F product, active hydration serum, and I cannot believe the change in only a few uses.

I haven’t had any magazine subscriptions in awhile but thanks to Money Saving Mom I snagged a few super cheap and summer is my favorite for a little mindless browsing  I happened across these Cambiami sandals and had to share with you guys!  Are they pricey….well sort of, but the idea is peaking my interest.

Seriously, y’all, how cute is Dawn Lucy from Fashion Should Be Fun?!!  I mean, the dress, the bag….her outfits are always just so fun.  She celebrated a birthday yesterday and you should totally stop by her blog and wish her well.

A big shout out to Nicole from High Latitude Style for featuring me as one of the 7 Texan Style Bloggers over 40 you should know! You should check out the rest!

If you are stopping by for the first time this week here is a little of what I’ve shared.

  1. Hottie! So in love with your looks this week sweet girl! Even featured you today at TBB. You have the best time this weekend, I know it’s busy but so worth it, so savor every second!

  2. The picture of 2 different shoes makes me smile every.time. Oh how I love my micro-dermabrasion paste. It’s simply the best and yes the AMP roller with the Active Hydration Serum is awesome. Are you using it on your face too or just your neck? So yes, those sandals have me totally intrigued. I swear I used to love getting magazines, but blogs are now my magazines. I’ve subscribed to a few and just don’t like reading them the way I used to. Have a great weekend. And congrats on being featured as one of the seven. So exciting!!!

    1. Micro-dermabrasion paste is my very fave…I always feel it’s the perfect product to use when I’ve neglected my face a bit. I use the amp as often as I remember…I need a better solution for all my products. I can’t stand having them all out on the counter all the time but don’t have a solution at the moment for keeping all together. I am using both on my face and my neck right now. Hope you have a super weekend Lisa!

  3. I am obsessed with the R+F self tanner but a few months ago I started also using the eye cream twice a day and I’m so please with how moisturized my under eyes have been! I hope to add in more products in the future!

    1. Well you are a day maker! I am just so uber self conscious about my dark circles. It’s seriously why, even with makeup, I’m so often wearing sunglasses in my pictures. While I don’t see them on myself constantly I always think in pictures they are so much more noticeable. I have my dads eyes….so that comment makes me smile. 🙂

  4. I hope you have a wonderful weekend, I love the relaxed vibe of Summer too and not just because I don’t have to work but also because the kids don’t have school. Okay but really it’s probably because I don’t have to work, lol!
Your skin without make up looks great! Beautiful girl you are !

    1. Seriously….I just keep thinking I’m going to take a few days off just to get a few things done and feel caught up enough at home to relax! And you are sweet…..I have really been trying to be diligent about washing my face and using my products. This time of year really seems to do a number on my skin.

  5. You have the greatest style! A good friend of mine just started selling R+F and I’ve been debating on what to try. Good recommendations!

  6. Darling, you are cute whether your shoes match or not.

Love Dawn Lucy’s dress. Pinned it and drooled over it, wrote her a note, and pasted it all over my FB page. Payday come on!!!
