Friday Favorites 08.06.21
How is it already the first Friday of August? The summer has flown by and we have logged some miles and lots of smiles but we are quickly seeing the new school year approach and trying to get all our ducks in a row! Here are some favorites from the week!
This month marks 7 years since I hit publish on my first blog post! I honestly never would have seen it play out the way it has nor would I have dreamed of the friendships I’ve made. It’s definitely evolved and changed and some years therre have been more blog posts than others but I’m still hanging in there! So thanks to all of you who have hung around for the ebbs and flows of The Queen in Between!
Keith and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this week! We had a quick dinner of burgers and beer while listening to a little live music on a patio. Twenty years has flown by faster than I ever dreamed it would. Some days have definitely been longer than others but I’m so proud of how we have grown over the years through the highs and lows. We will be celebrating in September with a trip to Montana and I can hardly wait.
My friend Holly recommended this podcast and I was instantly obsessed! So many years have passed but I can promise you will be drawn in and in a rage over how law enforcement handled this case all those years ago. There have been arrests and lots of development in the last 6 months all due to this podcast dragging it all back up. I couldn’t stop listening!
This sundress has definitely been one of my fave pieces of the summer. It is darling on it’s own but I have made it work appropriate by adding my denim jacket and now this black blazer. I love adding a pop of color with my accessories and wish I could share these year old sandals with you becuase they are still one of my fave purchases ever!
I haven’t shared a beauty product in quite sometime and probably need to round an empty bottle post. Number one on the list would be this face filter primer by Tula. It has worked better than any primer I’ve ever used. I will definitely be repurchasing!
Lastly, based on the fact that it’s 1am on Friday morning and I’m still up watching this, I’d say it’s definitely a favorite of my week! I started this series over a year ago and stopped apparently way too soon. Obsessed and cannot wait to binge the entire thing!
We have a busy few weeks ahead getting Dillon ready to head to college and his first apartment while sending Carly off for her first day of school. Lots of to do lists all while I wrap up my busiest time of year at work. How are you wrapping up your summer?
