Friday Favorites 03.06.20
Yay, it’s Friday and time for a few of my favorites from the week! Friday Favorites are such an easy way to pull together a random assortment of things I’m loving right now and I hope you find a few things to add to your list too!
The week started off hot and humid, turned stormy but has ended with picture perfect weather! Keith and I took the day off yesterday and drove to Fort Worth to watch Dillon’s high school team play in a tournament. He pitched 5 innings with 7 Ks and no runs allowed so I was a proud mom!
One of my fave local boutiques asked me to participate in a little spring photo shoot and I’m always up for some pictures. Hard to tell from the pic above but it was about 52 degrees with super strong wind so I am still shocked this picture looks so spring perfect! We were all good sports and I enjoyed spending time with Jen from Growing up Texas and sweet sisters Kortney and Karlee who are all local influencers.
This little top I’m wearing is the perfect spring stripe and so soft. Oh…and there are still a few sizes left in my fave wedge sneakers! Seriously I have worn these out since grabbing last summer. They are TTS and have been so comfortable for me.
If you aren’t into a wedge but are into comfort, then these slip ons might be for you! I was gifted this pair by Easy Spirit as part of their spring “livig my best life” campaign. Let me just say, I have always thought of this brand as my grandmas shoe because she wears them! Well, my mind was quickly changed. Evidently I should take a hint from Mamaw because these slip ons are so comfortable but they are also stylish and cute. It’s hard to tell from this picture but there is some color variation that is a slight lavendar to it so they have been a perfect option to wear to the ballpark for some Cougar baseball! Lots of pacing going on for this mom some nights so I might as well do it comfortably!

I’ve met so many cute little mommas through the baseball life world and let me just say, being a mom to littles and spending so much time at the ballpark you learn a few things about packing lots of snacks and being practical. Last night I saw one had her cute little clear tote packed at spring training with these little snack sacks inside. They are darling! The shop only opens the first Saturday of the month….that would be TOMORROW! They would be great for you but also make great gifts.
And speaking of sweet baseball mommas I’ve met, one I have become particularly close to had a tragic loss recently with the loss of a sweet new baby. She has two other darling young daughters at home and I found this sweet book to send for them. Praying for Meghan and her family!
Invitations have never been easier! We are super excited to help host a shower for Taylor tomorrow with a little brunch. The invitation was an easy download for under $10 and totally customizable to fit our needs. This particular designer uses the Corjl software for editing and it was a breeze. Once edited, I took to the local print shop and had quality invites ready to mail for less than $20.
Next week is spring break for my crew and while baseball, as always, will rule our plans I do plan to relax a bit. Working for a university we typically get 2-3 days off depending on the way the calendar falls and this year we are on the upside with 3! I am taking the extra two days off as well and am thrilled to know I have a week to just chill.
What do you have on the horizon? Hoping wherever you are spring has begun to creep in and you are able to get out and enjoy it! Happy Friday!
