Floral Top
May came on strong over here! I always take for granted how busy this last little month standing between us and summer really is and I’m just starting to come up for air. While Carly is wrapping up her sophomore year, JUCO baseball playoffs are going strong and our weekends are full. Add in the fact that Texas has just decided to jump feet first into a summer heat pattern and we are looking for all the ways to enjoy our activities but stay cool. Enter this darling floral top!
I ordered several new tops from Target, most of which I showed off in this post but somehow had missed grabbing a still shot of this darling floral. So far it has been my most worn of the three I kept. Today I’m styling it two ways!
The white jeans really make the colors come alive don’t you think? Of course I saw it on the model today with some black jeans and I’m thinking it will be my next pairing. If you are on the hunt for a straight leg white jean in a high rise, I love my Madewell pair. They have just enough stretch, run true to size and I’ve been impressed with their ability to stand up to how messy I am! There is no wearing a white pair of denim twice for this girl.
My animal print sandals are old but I did find them on Amazon in a few select sizes. Here is another sandal that would work or this one looks like a fun option too. I’m a sucker for a little pop of animal print with my summer looks and flora + animal print is a favorite. Always remember animal print is a neutral!
As much as I love this floral top with the white denim, I’ve mostly worn it with my denim shorts. I love that it is a little flowy and doesn’t stick to me when I’m sweating it out doing nothing but sitting in the stands watching baseball.
The colors are just so happy and I know this floral top will see a lot of action this summer. Trying to figure out how to make it work for the office and still haven’t found the right fit but I’m not a quitter!
I’ve tossed in a picture (terrible quality because night!) of me with Dillon after their big win to clench regionals this last Sunday. We will head back to watch them play super regionals this weekend and if they win we will be heading to the JUCO World Series in Grand Junction Colorado! Fingers crossed because as much as I love this top, I would really love some cooler game time temps!
Hope you have a super Wednesday!
