Five on Friday – Life Lately
Happy Friday! After January felt so long, I have to say the fact that February is almost halfway over kind of freaks me out! It has been super busy at work but the good kind of busy that fills me up so I’m not complaining. We have been busy making memories and hitting milestones at home too and today I’m sharing a little of our Life Lately!
New Driver
This kid is finally a licensed driver! While it is a little scary to send them out into the world driving alone, he did pass his driving test with a 92 which gave me some good feels. It has been such a help to have him able to drive himself to and from school and extra activities and he has even been a gem and run some errands for me.
Tiny Dancer
Carly has been dancing off and on since she was 3 but this year she decided she wanted to try competition dance. She’s been working so hard and last Friday we finally saw her perform one of her routines during halftime at a high school basketball game. It was such a fun hip hop routine and it was obvious she loved it! 
My bestie Holly is also raising a dancer and the girls were so happy to see each other! 
Me Time
On Sunday I dropped Riley at the airport and headed for a little shopping alone! I can’t wait to show you all some of the things I tried on.
There is no cold like metal bleacher cold on your hiney let me just say that! I bundled up and settled in to watch Dillon pitch on Monday night. He did a great job and had 6 K’s in 3 innings with zero runs allowed. Still working on a little control but otherwise I love watching him!
Puppy Love
And my sweet baby Dutch Buddy has been a little neglected lately. We really need to make more of an effort to spend time with him but the short, cold days make it hard. Hoping once the temps warm up he will get more attention. I seriously just adore how much he loves me and cannot believe I put up with all the dog hair.
All the Love
Fresh flowers are one of my favorite things and evidently Dillon has been paying attention. Bonus for a son who can drive who heads out to buy his momma flowers on Valentines Day. 
And I really do just have some of the sweetest people in my life! I was so overjoyed to receive some sweet cards and this precious little cactus. Praise for friends who also know to give me a plant that only has to be watered once a month!

Dillon has a baseball scrimmage today and I hope to see him pitch before I head off for Houston. Carly has her first dance convention this weekend and she is super excited! I’m excited about some down time in a hotel room and maybe just a little shopping! Stay tuned on insta-stories in case I find any great deals!
