Joys and Intentions March 2019
For a short month we sure did pack February with joy. There has been lots of baseball and dance but also some sweet celebrations. My friend Tanya mentioned the Gratitude365 app last month and I decided to download and give it a go!
This year I switched to Commit 30 for my planner and, even though I’m not using it to it’s full potential, I am loving it. I purchased the undated version so I could start whenever I wanted and not waste any pages. Each month there is space at the beginning to write down your goals and actions for the month but also to choose something you commit to do for 30 days!
My commit 30 choice for February was to use Gratitude 365 to track my daily gratitude. Y’all, even with only 28 days you can see I failed. Not miserably, but still a fail. The only thing I wish this app had is a notification daily to remind me to log. So far I haven’t figured it out if it does and often times I just totally forget to open my phone and log something.
So here is a quick look at my 28 days of gratitude grid which is so super easy to download. I’m sharing my February joys and March intentions as well so you can see what I’m committing to for March!
February Joys
My intentions for February are in bullets below; let’s see how the month shaped up!
- Continue the Chronological bible in a year plan!
- Read 2 books and finish The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
- Celebrate Love!
- Freeze spending on clothes, sell the Expedition and meet with a financial planner
- Set aside time for purging two closets and the linen cabinet
- Early to bed; early to rise and more than 4 trips to the gym.
Finished the book of Exodus and Leviticus and about a third of Numbers to continue the celebration of my salvation in 2019. The bible.com Chronological app paired with the Bible Recap podcast has really been so easy to follow. For the first time ever I feel like I’m truly both reading and comprehending the word!
On Tuesday I shared my book review and, spoiler alert, I read two fiction books and have almost completed It’s Not Supposed to be this Way. I also finished the 1st season of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and started the 2nd.
Love was easy to celebrate in February! I showered my sweet Riley with love as we sent him off to spring training. Had 2 date nights with Keith and 1 date night with Jordan. I sprinkled in a girls night out with my besties Holly and Katy and joined my friend Cindy in celebrating her 5 year anniversary since her cancer diagnosis. Also mailed out a few goodies to friends. Oh…and I took dinner to my friend Katy along with 10 tips to joy in your 40’s as part of her 40 days to 40 celebration!
Hmm….well, I did a pretty good job freezing spending on clothes but did manage to buy two pair of shoes which you can see in my stories. I’m so incredibly excited for spring and the 20% off sale sucked me in last week! I also received my February Stitch Fix and kept one item.
We did clean our Expedition up and have listed in for sale but so far we have not found a buyer. I still have not made an appointment with a financial planner and it just stresses me out to choose which is dumb. Why does none of this spark too much joy for me?
We purged both Dillon and Carly’s closets and the linen closet. Everything looks so nice and organized but I still need to actually make it somewhere with the donations!
It wasn’t on my list but I did manage to hire a new housecleaner and after she cleaned we have also managed to keep the house clean and orderly for a complete week! My bedroom has also been completed thanks working with an interior designer. Can’t wait to show it off! All of this makes me have a much clearer head and feel so much calmer.
Well, I am definitely nailing the early to bed, early to rise on most days and while I did make it more times to the gym (5 total lol) this could have been so much more.
All in all February was joyful and sweet even though it was gloomy weather most days. I’m looking forward to longer days and more sunshine!
