Fall Plaid + Style Six Linkup
September marks the beginning of fall and even though Texas hasn’t gotten the memo yet I’m adding some fall plaid inspiration to my closet. It is also the beginning of a brand new linkup I’m co-hosting with my sweet blog friends!
The Style Six linkup was born after 6 girls who met on the internet took a chance and met up in Nashville last fall. We had so much fun and have kept in touch sharing our daily lives and grown even closer. Of course style is what brought us all together to begin so we wanted to find a way to share with all of you!
Today I’m sharing the perfect fall plaid for transitioning seasons, even if you live somewhere warm like me. I was super impressed with how soft it is and the colors are so beautiful together. It is defintely different than anything else in my closet and for under $15 I was sold!
I’m loving how the colors really pop against my fave white denim and yes, I am a white after labor day offender! While it’s still warm out I will opt for my wedges or maybe even an open toe bootie. I also had the perfect earrings to draw out the purple.
While I’ve been pairing with my cutoff shorts or white jeans now, I thought I’d show you how I would style it when things cool off a bit by popping on a scarf. As nights begin to get cooler, a denim jacket and tall boots will easily pull this look right through fall. I could totally see me wearing this for Thanksgiving day!
I think fall colors are my favorite way to begin transitioning my wardrobe even when long sleeves and sweaters are out of the question. This top will be on repeat over the next few months I feel certain and I’m even contemplating it for our fall family pictures!
What is your favorite transitional piece for fall?
