Fall Floral 4 Ways
If you have been around the blog world for a bit you have probably run across Jenny Collier. She is a beautiful mom who shares tips on photography, parenting, crafting, etc but did you know she also has her own online clothing shop too?
I ordered this adorable dress (sorry no longer available) from Gray Monroe in September and was pleasantly surprised at the fit and quality as it was not pricey. Isn’t it a great floral? I couldn’t wait to wear it and was excited to put together a few fall floral looks with my Frye boots once the Texas temps dropped enough.
I always forget about this sweet ruby and diamond drop necklace but it was perfect for this outfit. I received for my graduation from high school from a dear great aunt and cousin which they passed down from a member of their family.
The mornings are now a little crisp so the military jacket is just the right weight to add a little warmth but not overwhelm me in my office environment. J. Crew has a very similar jacket which also comes in a beautiful maroon that I am totally crushing on right now.
I found this sweater on sale at J. Crew Factory and I’m surprised I have not ordered in another color. It is so soft and has a great fit. Never when I grabbed the sweater was I thinking it would work over this dress but I think this comes together as a nice option for fall and will also work in early spring.
Thinking outside the box is not my strong suit and I love how Pinterest and Instagram and other bloggers have opened my eyes to knew ways of combining pieces to get the most out of my closet.
As temperatures begin to cool off a little more I will be able to add the J. Crew puffer in this fun color. My purse has definitely been one of my favorite fall purchases and it is still on sale for around $33 and there is now also a suede option.
Pockets…..is anyone else totally sold if you can find a pocket? I love pockets and anytime I can find a pocket on an item of clothing it is usually a winner. I do love this vest but it is down and it is puffier which sometimes makes me feel like it adds too much bulk for my frame but I know it will do the job and keep me warm this winter.
One last look at this beautiful dress! This is actually how I wore the dress the very first time to work when things were still quite warm. I absolutely think this dress will carry me fall, mild winter days and spring with no problem.

Girl you always look perfect…always!!!
That is a gorgeous dress for all seasons I agree. But I think the dark florals and the long sleeves make it perfect for cold weather. Love the vest and jacket. I need an utility vest and an utility jacket too. The maroon sounds awesome too. So pretty, Shell Belle!
HAPPY HUMP DAY!

Thanks Shelbee! It is a really great dress and I'm so happy to have figured out a few more ways to wear it. Two years ago this would have just been a dress to me and now it's so much more! Have a super weekend.
Right?!! Isn't it the best when you put on something from last season and find some cash you forgot about in the pocket? Hope you have a super weekend.
I'm always a sucker for a great heel Shaunacey. Have a super weekend.
So much fun thinking outside the box! Have a great weekend Nancy.
Thanks so much Lanae! This was so much fun and something I never would have down two years ago. Learning to stretch my closet and be a little more creative has definitely made fashion more fun. Have a super weekend.
Sweet Ada I hope you have a super weekend!
Thanks Kimmy!
I really do just have to have mind over matter with the puffer. I see myself as such a "big" person anyway and I love the style of a puffer but always feel so bulky. I couldn't pass on this color though! Have a super weekend Darcy.
haha…momma you will be the first to receive it when I'm ready to ditch
I would have to agree Andrea. Of course I'm just a sucker for great heels and wearing it alone made me feel girly. Have a super weekend.
Thanks Jaymie! This was a fun piece to play dress up with.
That is a beautiful floral print. I love the first and last looks. Both really showcase the floral print well 🙂

I remember this post. I love the dress in its own but damn it is so cozy layered with the sweater and down vest.
