Currently March – Style Six
Good morning and happy Wednesday! It’s currently MARCH y’all and I couldn’t be more excited. Longer days and spring temps are giving me life right now. So I’m joinnig Anne in Residence to share what else is currently going on as well as joining my Style Six sisters for some fashion!
Fixing or fixin’ as we like to say here in Texas! We are fixin’ to be on spring break and I’m so excited. Adding senioritis to what is already our busiest season of the year has already made this semester feel long! We don’t have any super exciting plans but since Dillon will be playing baseball in the Austin area the later part of the week, we are going to have a getaway for a few nights. Just having a break from fixin’ dinner every night will be a welcome change!
Hearing from a sweet cousin who has been doing some digging into our family lineage. Apparently my 15th great grandmother was Mary Boleyn who had a child with Henry VIII before he married her sister. I feel so much more interesting already!

Feeling so excited! Only 10 weeks to go until baby Ferrell’s due date. We have Taylor’s first baby shower this weekend and I can’t wait to love on that sweet momma. She is just the cutest pregnant and spent the last week in West Palm Beach at spring training with Riley. I loved this cute pic.
Recommending a few pieces I’ve tried on lately!
I already showed you all this dress on Monday but, y’all, I seriously think everyone needs it! It truly is the perfect spring/summer dress and there is a color for everyone. My friend Lisa also tried it on in pink on her instagram along with this cute little number which I promptly added to cart!
So, I’m always looking to add a new pair of denim shorts each summer as they become my favorite thing to toss on but it’s always tricky for me to find a pair that are long enough and have the right fit. These are perfect for me as far as fit is concerned but just a tad to heavy on the distressing for my liking. I’m picking up this pair today to see if I might like them a little better.
I also grabbed this lightweight sweatshirt which is super cute but I’m not really feeling the color on me. It is available in other colors and camo and is a perfect weight for a spring sweatshirt.
Not that we ever put our white jeans all the way away in Texas, but especially in spring they become heavier in the rotation. I love the white jeans from Loft as they have a great fit but also alway seem to consistently be thick enough to not be see through. I did grab this floral top for $14 but it’s no longer available. Loft is having a 40% off sale today so it’s a great time to grab some spring staples!
I really purged my dress collection over the past year and am looking to add a few workwear pieces this spring. This dress is a cute fit with an elastic waist. It could be a little longer on me but other than that I think it’s darling and would also look cute with tall boots and a cardigan. This one is also super cute and has pockets so I might have to see if I love it more!
Adding another blazer to my closet is probably not exactly what I need to do but I saw my older daughter wearing this blazer with a simple white tee and dark jeans recently and loved it. It has a slight herringbone print and is on clearance which brought it down to $44. It is definitely a heavier feel and more of a winter blazer so I haven’t decided for sure if I’m going to keep it but it is super cute.
I love the look of a romper but rarely find one that works for my short waist. The drawstring is definitely my friend and I was pleasantly surprised by this romper that comes in several colors and even a stripe option. The fabric is lightweight and almost gauzy instead of super soft so it is also forgiving.
Bonus, I’m currently loving this look from Jill at Doused in Pink from last weeks Style Six linkup. How cute is she in this skirt and so fun to show how it can work across seasons!
