It’s the first Wednesday of the month so I’m joining Anne of In Residence to share what I’m doing currently.
Scheming a plan to see this sweet girl and her new baby boy! Y’all, if you don’t follow Sarah you NEED to if for no other reason than to see first hand God working right in front of you. This girl and her faith is so big and I was so heartbroken for her when she wrote this post. But y’all, her title was so, so true and God is still good and proved it in such a HUGE way. I will have next Friday off for spring break and I’m so making a trip to hug her and her sweet little baby boy because he was born a Texan!! This instagram post brought me to tears! They are obviously over the moon but financially this is hard so please consider donating to their adoption journey.
Reading steadily! While I will never be one to knock out 12 books a month, steadily reading 2 to 3 a month is a great balance for me. I shared my February book review which included It’s Not suppose to be this Way and I so highly recommend it. I downloaded Where the Crawdads Sing yesterday based on so many of you who have reviewed and I can’t wait to start reading. I also shared as part of my prime finds that I ordered this book and man, there are definitely some opinions I had not experienced. Interested in reading myself since I haven’t read anything about the book yet.
Buying some new shoes! I did fairly well on not spending in February but I did grab two new pair of shoes when DSW had a little sale. I have to say I loved them all but ended up keeping two pair; the snakeskin wedge and the black sandal.
Seriously these sandals are so cute on! I was hesitant to order but am so glad I did. Bonus…they are so darn comfortable!
Making plans for a girls weekend! Y’all know my bestie Holly and I take our girls for an adventure on their birthdays instead of having a party and this month Holly’s daughter tuns 14! This will be our 4th year heading out for a little roadtrip adventure and we will be headed to Wimberly.
Also making plans to head to Miami for the Marlins opening series! While I’m sad to miss spring training this year I really hope to get a shot at seeing this kid make a major league debut!
Accomplishing another room! My bedroom is 3/4 complete thanks to calling in some help from Ali Michelle Interiors. I cannot wait to show off the completed look along with the before and after pictures but I have 2 little tweaks left first. Here is a sneak peak! Dutch obviously approves.
Wearing my tall boots one last time! It may be wishful thinking but I’m hopeful I will be putting these boots away on their shelf soon! Mother Nature gave us one more super cold blast so this week has been all about the boots. Here are a few of my fave looks!
This pink sweater has been one of my fave winter purchases and it is an extra 50% off right now! My only regret is not buying it in a large. While it does fit, I think I would have preferred a little more generous length and sleeve. Trust me, if you ever have a chance to buy a green down vest just do it! I’ve worn this one non stop for the past 3 years! But really, if you need some OTK brown boots, now is the time to pull the trigger. You’ll be thanking me next fall when you’ve forgotten you grabbed them for a steal! A few cute options here, here & here.
Yep, there’s that jacket again! But try to focus on the booties. I snagged these from Target and am still so shocked at how comfortable they have been and just how much I have worn them! Totally answered the question as to whether I really needed olive boots in my closet!
This skirt from my January Stitch Fix paired perfectly with my tall black boots! I seriously am in love with this look!
