Currently {March}
March is one of my favorite months of the year. Here in Texas, the trees are budding, the grass is beginning to turn green and the days are becoming longer. More sunlight means a happier me.
….there were more hours in the day! Even getting up early I still do not feel there is enough time for my job, working out, spending quality time with my family and squeaking out a little time for my favorite things. If I could just get maybe 4 more hours!! I started off the year fairly strong with budgeting my time but as always I’ve let some things slide. I’m beginning to think I may be a tad ADD as focusing seems to be my number one issue!
….some time with my big girl! I mentioned yesterday that we have had zero one on one time honestly since December. We live right here in the same town so there is really no excuse! Hoping to have a date night soon. Jordan..pencil me in!!
…. to Florida this month and I’m working on finalizing our plans! The main reason for going is to hopefully see Riley but we do have fishing, Disney and a trip to Cocoa Beach and the Kennedy Space Center on our list of sightseeing possibilities.
….layers and lots of items from my closet which have been hanging around for awhile but not necessarily worn. Twice this week I have worn something and just didn’t feel comfortable and those two items quickly made their way to the goodwill pile. This top, however, has obviously been wasting time just hanging because I loved wearing it today with my white jeans.
…even after being a mom for 25.5 years, I’m still learning that just when I think I have this shit figured out one of my kids will throw me a curve and I’m like wait, what? Oh my goodness is it too late to ask for a manual?? Practicing the P word and trying to have some patience round this joint! I say it all the time…parenting is a total crap shoot. You have a little bit of knowledge and hope you have a whole lot of luck!
Hope you are all having a super week!

Love your outfit picture, so pretty. Have so much fun in Florida, hope training is going well for him!
What a great idea to wear something that you're not comfortable with on a regular basis! this would be so helpful for making you try new things. I'm going to try this!

"You have a little bit of knowledge and hope you have a whole lot of luck!" Can I get that on a t-shirt?!
I want 4 more hours too, please!!! How gorgeous is your girly, I mean like model gorgeous just like her mama!! Yep, parenting…..throw the dice and hope for snake eyes…wait, is that good! Ha!! 😉
Andrea I seriously laughed out loud at the snake eyes….my favorite craps story…stayed up all night in Vegas and had too many miller lites when the hubs decided we should throw dice. Boy did I…right off the table and the dealer literally had to duck to miss them. TIME FOR BED!! haha
Bha ha ha! Love that story and it would soooo be me 😉
What???? There's no manual??????!!! LOL I think they should print up onesies to give to new parents at the hospital prior to them leaving "I didn't come with a manual".
Love that top. Florida sounds lovely right now. One more month til our vacay!!
Florida sounds so fun! And that cartoon is so true. Parenting would be a lot easier with "perfect" kids.
I'm not sure I could handle four more hours! I'm dragging my 8:00 at night. Went to bed at 8:30 last night! Maybe it's just a phase or that I'm more tired now that I started back to walking this week! WOW! Y'all are going to be "on the go" in Florida! Lots to do and see!! Make that date with Baby Girl!
Aaahhh! Florida! I can't wait to get back there. I think I'd live at Disney if I could.
Haha…well I wouldn't go that far but I'm excited about Florida!
If we could just be able to laugh about some of it when we are actually in the moment it would probably make it a little easier!
For real girl…I seriously am just winging it most of the time!
I'm really good about liking things down and putting them in a give away bag…but I'm also really good at pulling them back out! I'm trying really hard this week to make an immediate decision at the end of the day based on how I feel today wearing it…not ten pounds from now! Haha
I'm SO happy to find your blog! I've got two boys, 21 and 18, and I love finding moms with older kids too. Your family is beautiful! Have fun in Florida – one of my favorite places to visit!
I am so glad it is starting to warm up and we are getting more daylight in the evening. Winter is so depressing. I hope you get some time with your daughter soon! Florida is my happy place!

We haven't been to Disney in a few years and I'd love to go back! That quote is spot on!

Oh, this was a fun and honest post I thoroughly enjoyed reading. I am so with you on not enough hours in the day and thinking I am ADD. Like seriously…
Great plans to look forward too. The parenting gig… You got that right and I love the quote.
I hope you get to spend a lot of time with your family this month – one on one time with your daughter and on your trip to Florida. It sounds exciting! 🙂
I could definitely do with a few extra hours in the day some days too!

I'm not looking for more hours, but i'm definitely ready for Spring. We have had some beautiful days this week. Your daughter is gorgeous and I hope you get your girls's day out soon. Have a safe trip to Florida and have fun! ~Lowanda
I totally know what you mean about not having enough hours in the day. I'm experiencing the same thing as well. I hope you're able to rest and enjoy family this weekend! Thanks for linking up!
Totally agree Carrie..the lighter evenings have definitely made me feel happier and honestly less rushed.
Hi Lana! So glad you found yourself here. Parenting adults is definitely not for the faint hearted. So many blessings but it's always hard to see my Bigs with real life struggles and keep my mouth shut if I'm not asked for help.
I totally think it's my age Jennie…hormones! I did attend a talk last week, Happy Brain, Happy Life…and I'm thinking I'm on to something that may help.
