Currently June

It’s the first Wednesday of the month so I’m joining Anne of In Residence to share what’s currently going on around here!

Picking the route and hotels for several big road trips this summer. Carly and I will head to Orlando for dance nationals in June just before the boys leave for baseball in Atlanta. Then we head to Albuquerque in late July for more baseball. Flying would have been my choice but it is always hard with these type of activities as it’s possible we need to be there 7-8 days but could also be done in 4. If you have any suggestions for Albuquerque I’d love to hear!

Going to San Antonio for a night away with Keith at the JW Marriott this weekend! Every summer his company hosts a one night stay somewhere fun for their annual shareholders meeting. It will be a quick trip but I’m excited to get away with my love even if only for the night. Last year we stayed a few extra nights and I’m really hoping I can twist Keith’s arm and head down early this weekend too.

Wishing it did’t hurt quite so bad to get back to regular workouts. Holy muscle memory! After skipping the gym all but once in May, I’ve worked out the first 4 days of June and my muscles are all screaming. These girls definitely are passionate about whipping people into shape! The hashtag for me this week is definitely true!

Wearing my favorite rain boots. Yikes, we are under a flash flood watch today due to a tropical airmass making it’s way into Texas. Going to work in the rain is not one of my favorites!

I think I might just pop them on today with this little floral skirt and give it a whirl. This skirt is so good and I honestly cannot believe it is still in stock…y’all..it has pockets! And you can bet this little hat is coming along on my weekend away.

Celebrating Summer! It took no time at all to settle into late nights and less rushed mornings. While our summers will be full of lots of baseball and dance, we are still looking to find some adventure every day! Some days that may just mean a trip to our local Hey Sugar candy store for an orange soda as we browse a few boutiques.
