Happy Friday! We are kicking off our annual budget first thing this morning and I’m excited about seeing all of my favorite budget friends at the kickoff party. It will be a busier than normal few weeks but this is a part of my year I really enjoy. What better day to kick off than Friday!
I’ve never participated in a currently linkup but thought today I would share some of my favorite things currently going on!
Laura of Walking in Memphis and Erin of The Fashion Canvas chose a look from the Herringbone Vest post as one of the features for the weekly Trend Spin Linkup!
Jessica at Sweet Little Ones featured the Perfect Pasta Salad post as her Tuesday Talk feature!!
Smelling||Stinky shoes! I walked into my sons room and it smelled something awful…one big stinky, sweaty sock!! I don’t know if it’s sweaty feet and stinky socks or if their shoes are just permanently funk but it’s terrible. I’ve been looking for help on Pinterest and found this pin suggesting spraying rubbing alcohol will do the trick. I am just desperate enough to check this out. Let me know if you have any secrets for solving this problem.
We have family pictures tomorrow so I’m hoping the current forecast holds true and we have a nice sunny afternoon shoot. With 12 people to herd let’s hope everyone brings their happy face! Currently the wind is projected to be 10-12 mph and I really hope that changes or we will all be looking like super models! I might have to bring on the blue steel….lol. Is anyone else out there a Zoolander fan?
Bet wishes for a super weekend friends!
Today I’m joining Jenna and Anne (a little late) for a look at what is currently going on over here.

Spring break in Florida? Sign me up! Actually we are headed back to Vegas for spring break so at least I am getting to go somewhere 🙂 Congrats on all the features you deserve it. Have a great time with the family pictures!
Ahhh Spring Break, we do not have one planned this year as BB for the youngest and one going with another fam….I feel I need sun, lol!!! I can see why you, gorgeous, were featured, loved seeing your pretty face on all my fav blogs!! Great job on sticking to eating better, I am a work in progress on that one. Yay to family pictures, can't wait to see all your beautiful faces. Praying all goes well, these things are so important to us mamas!!!
This will be the last year that we won't have high school baseball at Spring Break so I'm itching to do something fun. Baseball has ruled my vacations for sooooo long and I don't hate that but just need a little fun. Thankfully my kids know how important the pictures are to me….AND they know that if they are on their best behavior it will be over much quicker. My niece and nephew are just 8 and almost 5….so that could be a little trickier. Have a super weekend Andrea!!
Vegas again JulieAnn?? You guys are rockstars. 😉 I really want a getaway…have to do some planning this weekend and try to work it out. Hope you have a super weekend!!!
Good job on sticking to eating better ! I am proud to say that I have been pretty good this past week. I mean it's a start right ??? Have a great weekend. Can't wait to see your family pics
eeks great job to eating better! i need to jump on that bandwagon for sure!
Can't wait for Spring Break! We always go to Rockport, TX to do some fishing with our three boys!
I love that book- so good! That pasta salad is looking amazing!

That pasta salad looks SO good!! I need to try it out.
So good and soooooo easy Morgan! Have a super weekend!
Thank you sweet Liz! The pasta is easy and delicious. Have a super weekend!
My fave read of 2015!!
Oh….my boys would totally be all over that! We typically go to Matagorda fishing because it's so near my moms. We are all crossing our fingers that Riley ends up in Corpus with the AA Hooks this summer so we can come down and spend a few weekends in the Rockport/Port A area. Have a super weekend!
It's hard to get started but once I get a few days or so under my belt and realize truly how much better I'm feeling I start craving the healthy things.
It's so hard isn't it? We had our budget kickoff this morning and there was lots of crap food. Last night we went to the kids fave restaurant and there are healthy options but who wants to eat that when the best stuff is all fried. Ugh….back on track tomorrow just in time for family pics! The weather has turned out fine but there is suppose to be high wind…hoping that changes. 🙂
I have For the Love and have yet to read it! Why…I just read your review and snippets and have to get on that!! And have you worn that hat outta the house yet?? Because you should! You look fab! But if I'm being completely honest, I am the same way with a hat that I have too!! HA!! Have a great weekend!
Hahaha Katie….I have NOT worn it yet!!! I have so many hats and love the way they look but I have not braved them in public. Read the book…you will laugh!!!
I really want to read that book, it is on my list. I need to eat healthier, so bad! I work out 5x a week, but eat horribly! Congrats on being featured, I love my herringbone vest!

Away From The Blue Blog
My biggest motto since being in my 40's….you can't outwork a bad diet. 🙂 At least that has held true for me while my younger self definitely had the advantage. Hope you are having a great week!
I think my 14 year old is at an age he could watch it and so I'm hoping we are going to watch the first one together and then go see #2. I seriously watched it so many times with my bigs and we laughed so hard.
Oh the wind was ridiculous….but hoping we got a few keepers.
