Today I’m joining Anne and Kellie for a look at what is currently going on over here as well as Jenn and Jessi for What’s Hap-“pinning” Wednesday.
Doing….for others!  It always makes me feel joyful to do for others but this time of year there are so many opportunities to give back in the community and fun ways to shower sweet friends with special treats.  It can be as simple as volunteering at your local foodbank or ringing the salvation army bell or handing out candy canes to strangers.  One of my very favorites is putting together hot chocolate baskets for to deliver to friends and neighbors as the temperatures cool off.

Enjoying….all things Christmas!  I shared my Holly Jolly home yesterday and I have been so content to come home at the end of each day and just be at home.  I’m also enjoying the social time the holidays bring and shared a little of my holiday style.

Cooking….up a fun weekend of birthday celebrations!  My Mamaw is going to turn 90 on Friday while my mom will celebrate her 71st birthday on Sunday.  I’m hoping to celebrate them both on Saturday with some time together and yummy food.

Wrapping…up my Christmas shopping and a actually have a few gifts wrapped and under the tree!  My girls are SO easy and I am going to share a few things from their gift list (Jordan this is your warning) tomorrow.  The boys, however, are a little tricky and I’m still trying to nail down a few things.  Hoping to be all down by Sunday and have everything on it’s way to me!

Playing…all the Christmas music!  I actually keep my car loaded with Christmas CD’s all year long.  This week every single night I’ve walked in and tapped Alexa and requested some Christmas tunes.  The selection has been so good.  I definitely love a great mix of both classic Christmas carols and new compilations.

Sharing…a little bonus on this currently post because I just found it so insightful.  Blake who blogs at Forever Callahan shared the book by Max Lucado, Because of Bethlehem. In her post yesterday she wrote we talked about what to say when people ask if we are ready for Christmas. Most of us (myself) answer depending on whether we have our shopping done. But that’s really not the reason we should be ready for Christmas. There is just so much love and giving this time of year that makes me so happy. I mean the birth of Jesus is coming!!   Yes!  I so love this and it really did make me remember the real reason for the celebration!  This book will definitely be on my list.

If you find yourself a little lost in this season and looking for something to remind you of the real meaning of Christmas, I would also suggest the book The Greatest Gift: Unwrapping the Full Love Story of Christmas by Ann Voskamp.  I walked through this daily devotional last year leading up to Christmas and decided to pick it up again this month.  Such a beautiful, beautiful story!

  1. Looks like currently has been pretty good to you! I am currently sneezing and still coughing. UGH I am SO over this friend. I wanna get off the struggle bus and enjoy this season.

  2. All thing Christmas! Yes! Give me all the music! LOVED your home snaps so I need to check out the post – have a great day gorgeous!

  3. So fun! Tomorrow is my wrapping day, I took the day off and I'm gonna wrap from dawn till dusk With a Bailey's and coffee in hand and Christmas music blaring! This was such a fun holiday post and loved to hear about everything you're doing my friend!

  4. It sounds like it will be such a fun birthday weekend! We will be celebrating Michael's on Saturday. Yes, yes, yes to online shopping, especially for the hard-to-buy for men. And you are seriously tempting to put an Echo under the tree!

  5. Just bought the Ann Voskamp and Max Lucado books. Two authors I love. I really need something to help me focus on what Christmas is really about.

  6. I need to listen to more Christmas music; we tend to listen to books on CD in the car and I rarely think to turn on music in the house.

  7. A 90th birthday – how great to celebrate! And I am loving the social events of Christmastime right now too. Normally I'm a homebody introvert, but at the holidays, I love getting dressed in festive outfits and decorating my house to have people over, and going out to events. Best time of the year (except summer, of course). Thanks for linking up!
