Today I’m joining Jenna and Anne for a look at what is currently going on over here + what I’m currently wearing to take part in this weeks Style Perspective challenge hosted by The Blended Blog

Spring Style
This week the Style Perspective Challenge was to pair a spring sweater with jeans and flats.  I knew immediately which sweater I was choosing.  I have been grabbing for this one tons lately as the mornings and evenings are still cool.  The color is perfect for spring.  My favorite animal print flats complete the look!  Seriously these shoes are the best and they now come in a ton of spring colors.
Spring Style
Layering with a military vest and adding a little sparkle with a statement necklace dresses this look up a bit.  I pick up cheap sunnies whenever I can.  I would really love a great pair of Ray Bans but I always hesitate when I see how quickly I destroy a cheap pair.
Spring Style
Taking the look down just a tad with a great spring scarf and converse is perfect for weekends spent at the ballpark or the back patio.  I love these jeans from my friends at Burlap & Pearls Boutique.  I would suggest if you are between sizes to order a size down.
Spring Style
Since I initially misread the prompt and took this picture anyway, here is a quick look with a pair of heels I grabbed last fall on clearance.  I honestly think this is my favorite of the three looks!  I grabbed this bag months ago for under $40 and it has really been a favorite.  What do you think?
Spring
One of the main items on my wishlist right now is a spiralizer.  My friend Tori is always posting the best looking dishes using zoodles and I just know it would be a fast favorite.   Plus I received Skinny Suppers in March and I’m dying to try some recipes.  Now just to decide do I want this 2 blade, the 4 blade or a handheld??  I don’t do well with so many options!
Spring
I’m also trying to stay motivated about working out and have some new duds on my wishlist!  Loving these tanks from Athleta and I think the waistband on these shorts might make me feel more confident!

Spring cleaning!  Purging closets and making a list of those items which just seem called for as the temps warm and the sun shines more.

  1. Clean the windows
  2. Mulch the flower beds
  3. Clean deep freezer and outdoor fridge
  4. Purge and organize!!  I’m positive I can make lots of space in my kitchen to hold that spiralizer!

Seems the past month has been all about having fun and I’ve posted about it!

  1. Orlando in Four Days
  2. Disney Dos & Don’ts
  3. Fort Worth Fun
And I’ve been trying to get my shiz together so I’ve been looking for time management help which I loved finding in Wunderlist after reading Biana’s post here. I love writing stuff down but now instead of having 10 post-it notes scattered goodness knows where I am able to easily organize by category and have them all at my fingertips!  My friend Holly then shared this post from Abby at Just a Girl and Her Blog with lots of tips including only giving yourself 7 to dos per day.  I am liking this Abby girl!

I’ve been a super lazy cook lately!  Thankfully spaghetti always saves the day right?  This is my favorite sauce right now.  It is so yummy and tastes so fresh.  The family had this with meatballs over angel hair while I swapped out the pasta for zucchini and squash.   #summerisnear
What are you currently up to this April?
Did you know I have a GIVEAWAY going on over at September Farm as part of the Disney Dos and Don’ts post?  You can head over here and register to win a Rodan and Fields Sunless Tanner but hurry only 5 days left!

  1. I bought a cheaper version of a spiralizer at TJ Maxx to see what I thought of them. I think it was around $5.00.
I loved those heels in the last photo of you. You really look good in those!

  2. LOVE that vest top and obsessing over the scarf!! Yummo new spaghetti sauce on my radar!! Happy Wednesday beautiful and lovely lady!

  3. I love the color of your sweater! It look great with the green utility vest and the floral scarf. I did get the backyard mulched last weekend, so now we have to do the front! I also need to do some spring cleaning…I already did my closet and bathroom cabinets so I think the kitchen is next!

  4. I really like those tanks too. I'm 3-5 weeks away from meeting baby #2 and, as I have difficult pregnancies, am not allowed to workout. I can't wait to get back to exercising. I might just have to buy some new gear as a treat. 😉 (visiting from Waiting On…Wednesday)

  5. Love the vest! And we love zoodles over here – I have the little hand-held spiralizer, but I really want the bigger fancier Inspiralized one to start spiralizing even more types of veggies! Thanks for joining us 🙂

  6. I love reading these currently posts from you Shelly. I am doing one on the weekend. As always, your style is A+. Love the soft color of that coral sweater. I need an olive utility vest badly. I also need/want a cognac saddle bag and some block heel nude sandals like tyhe ones you are wearing. I must say your Sweater says Spring.

    Happy April Shell Belle!

This week’s current, brand-new linkup is live (a day early). I would love for you to join it. Thank you. Ada. =)

  7. I wear cheap sunglasses. I've told Wayne over and over again, do NOT buy me expensive sunglasses because I can't keep up with them! Ugh! I actually found a pair from about ten years ago in a drawer the other day, so I'm wearing them again. And I honestly can't remember where I got my knock-off Raybans. You look cute as always. Orange looks good on you!

  8. Such a cute sweater – and perfect with the vest! Those flats are amazing! Thanks so much for linking up with Style Perspectives today!

  9. I love this look of the pink sweater and green vest, and those flats are so fun!! I've been really intrigued by the spiralizer and all the yummy-looking recipes I've seen that use it. I'll be curious to hear more about it if you get one!

  10. Love the sweater and vest!! But I'm really jealous of all your fun shoes!! I really want a spiralizer too!! My sister has a handheld one and it amazes me…so quick and fun! LOL

  11. I absolutely love your shoes and the vest! I have been looking for both and can't wait to check out Target. I use Wunderlist too, it's a great tool and love writing everything down on my phone that I need to do as soon as it comes to mind.

Hope you are having a great week!

  12. I love all three of your outfit choices but my favorite is with the Converse shoes. I am a Keds person myself but like the look of Converse.

  13. Karen…have you found the little icon you can add to your toolbar for Wunderlist? That has been so awesome…when I find something I just click and add to a list. I am still trying to figure out the best organization for my list but I'm loving it.

  14. That sweater is such a pretty color! Seriously loving those shoes too! I have a spiralizer and love it, but I think I need to use it more!

  15. Not sure…but it was handheld!! And super quick and easy!! I'll see if I can get the brand name!!

  16. I'm the same way with sunglasses – I want to invest in a nice pair of Ray Bans, but I go through cheap ones so quickly. I assume that I would treat them nicer, but who knows.. haha!

  17. Just saw this… sorry for the delayed response. I got the Veggetti brand. I've only ever used it for squash and zucchini so I don't know how it would do with something like a sweet potato. I got this one to try it out because it was cheap and my only complaint is the part that is supposed to hold the veggie in place could be a bit stronger – for maybe use a sweet potato. This is the one I have. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/store/product/veggetti-reg-spiral-vegetable-cutter/1042545910?Keyword=spiralizer
