Celebrations – Friday Favorites

Happy Friday loves! Valentines week had my kitchen table looking like a huge craft project and we have not been home much. I’m looking forward to pulling things back together around here after a week full of little celebrations!

What was all the fuss about? Lots of celebrating people I love of course!

We celebrated and said farewell to Riley as he headed to spring training! He’s already settling in and we are so excited to see where a new season with a new team may take him.

On Monday night my friend Cindy pulled together a sweet group of her friends and celebrated the 5 year anniversary of her breast cancer diagnosis. As she said “I would never want to go through cancer again but I would not trade the friendships it brought to my life”.

Wednesday was my day to celebrate my friend Katy !  She is turning 40 on the 28th and her long time bestie seriously arranged for the 40 days leading up to her 40th birthday be a hug celebration. It has been incredible following her stories and seeing the creative ways some have celebrated her along with the most amazing and heartfelt sentiments of what she means to them. She is storing in her insta-stories highlights and I seriously cannot tell you how many times I’ve teared up.

Even though we live really close to each other I actually met Katy through blogging! We use the same family photographer and I had stalked her adorable, growing family over the years. She was the co-curator of a blog, Your Merry Mailbox, which I loved following and then I kind of fan girled her at a food drive. The rest is history!

A little punny love is always fun at Valentines day and this year I ordered some cute socks to give to sweet friends. I grabbed while they were 40% off (which they are again right now in different styles) and just kept them on hand. I really think these could make sweet little Mothers Day gifts for your girlfriends too,

And it just wouldn’t be Valentines week if I didn’t mention my newly bearded forever Valentine. We actually managed to sneak in a date to Outback! This week our church began a new series on dating your mate and actually handed out date cards. The first challenge was to remember your first date so of course we headed back to where it all began!

Tonight I have a date with my grown up girl! We are headed to ladies night at the restored Queen Theatre to see Breakfast at Tiffanys. What do y’all have on the schedule this weekend?

If you missed all the love on the blog this week you can catch up here!
