Bring on the Brights + TBB Linkup
Happy Wednesday friends! This week seems to be flying by and I can hardly wait as we have a weekend getaway planned with our besties plus a little Hooks baseball on the agenda. I am even taking the day off on Friday and hopefully Dillon will officially have his learners permit. Lots left to do this summer!
A few weeks back Tif of Bright on a Budget shared a look combining a colorful top with a totally different color pants and she totally helped me think outside of the box with a look from my own closet!
Separately I love these two pieces but never in my wildest dreams had I thought to pair them up. In the past I’ve kept things safe wearing this top with white shorts or pants. While I love the look (shown here) this top needed some new life. Escapada is a brand I love to grab at local boutiques but you can actually shop their line directly. The fabrics are lightweight and the patterns are always so fun.
Of course my trusty J. Crew Factory shorts (I love the 4″ and 5″) are also a win and this shade has seemed to go with lots in my closet. I also might add these cognac sandals have been a great buy from Target as they are super comfortable and have held up nicely. I threw this outfit on last night and we headed out to a friends house to enjoy a quick walk to the lake and toss a line in the water. It was a great way to end the day.
This one of course would drop school in a heartbeat to become a professional fisherman I do believe. While he loves hunting too, fishing just seems to be his happy place.
And this one is just growing up so fast all of a sudden. Yesterday she actually washed and dried her hair AND used the flat iron. I’m so torn because part of me wants to keep her little while the other part can’t wait to see what she becomes!
Dutch Buddy may have been the most over joyed about our little outing! He loved trampling around in the lake water but was not impressed with his bath upon returning home.
Sometimes a little jaunt in the country is just what you need to add a little breath back into your week! Now it’s your turn to link up with The Blended Blog and share your favorite look this week.

I LOVE these colors together. I saw a picture (prob a snap or Insta story who can remember?😜) of you in this combo and remember thinking how bright and pretty it was! Great job coming up with a new way to wear it! Keeping our little girls little is a hard thing to do, but it’s so fun when they are big too! Happy Wednesday friend!
Haha…I think I posted a picture last week of me wearing this when I went to Top Golf in Dallas last month. 🙂
This is a great colorful outfit and perfect for summer! Happy Wednesday! Peace!

I am such a fan of this look, it is so nice when you pair colors that don’t match but they go together! Looks great on you pretty lady!
And wow, your sweet Carly Jo doing her own hair! I bet that was a moment filled with mixed emotions, I can tell she’s such a sweetie. Your heart must be bursting with pride!

There’s a boutique in town that sells Escapada and I love how colorful their clothes are!

Thanks Sarah! I always get excited when I step outside the box and it actually works out.
Go bold or go home! Love it! You convinced me to buy those sandals in gold, and I get compliments on them all the time!
I have been so happy with how well mine have held up and how comfortable they are! I may have to grab another pair before summer is over!
Love the look friend. I am kind of dreading the time when my girls grow up like that. I am assuming once one does the other won’t be too far behind and my heart hurts just thinking about it. I’ll soak up these last couple of years I guess.
JCrew shorts are the best! I love this bold look! Your top is so pretty!
