Blogger Review {Best of} 2015

· ·
Today I would really like to say thank you to my readers!  I am so grateful to each of you for encouraging me, supporting me and, well, just for reading along.  I started blogging as a creative outlet and had no clue what to expect but I have enjoyed it so much.  Connecting with others has been such an inspiration.  Today as I work on a few blogging ideas and goals for 2016, I’m looking back at reader favorites as well as my own personal favorites and a few flops along the way.  Here is a little blogger in review for 2015!

Year End Review 2015

January Best

It’s obvious by the views everyone loves some Christmas whether it was Decking the HallsHoliday Style or my Favorite Stocking Stuffers these post were tops for 2015!

My very favorite to write are always straight from my heart.  I love sharing an experience I’ve had with the hopes it will be able to touch another.  So many times my heart has been changed and/or softened by something I’ve read and I love the idea of being able to help others.  Smiling Back at Chaos gives a little perspective on the everyday chaos of running a household and how what we see may not always be the true picture.  Unplanned Joy came to me through my sweet first born and I loved writing this post.  My ex-husband and I have a relationship not seen in many divorces and as we closed out “raising” our Bigs in 2015 I couldn’t help but write this post as I am Grateful for my Ex.  Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder but often times our own eyes do not see the beauty before us.  In August my last little baby started the First Day of her last day of elementary school and I really was feeling grateful instead of sad.  Lastly, in Grateful for Dreams, I wrote about a huge day for our family!

I co-hosted two linkups in 2015 and even though we did not quite have the following we would hope for,  I am so proud to be co-hosting with my friend Katy and showcasing women who inspire us!  My very favorite post so far in the Queen Bees Linkup is Leaving a Legacy.  My friend Michelle, who lost her 16 year old daughter two years ago, is such an inspiration in how she has turned to her faith to deal with her grief and keep her daughters memory alive.

The second linkup I co-hosted with my bestie Holly in November where we encouraged others to have an Attitude of Gratitude .  We dissected a bible verse over the month and honestly while my intention was to reach others I learned so very much myself!

While I love hosting a linkup, I also love participating in others and the Show & Tell linkup series by Andrea at Momfessionals rocked in 2016!  My most viewed was How We Met & Got Engaged and it was fun to take that walk down memory lane.

I reviewed a few books in 2015 but didn’t read nearly as many as I set out to read!  Some of my very favorites The Best Yes, Nobody’s Cuter than You, For the Love

I shared my very first (and only) video tutorial on how I tie a scarf here.  I love when other bloggers share a video and I can actually “see” them in action so I gave it a try.  I’m hoping to add more videos and/or add Periscope to my lineup in 2016.

Sometimes I write a post and think it’s going to really be a hit and that’s how I felt when I shared What’s in Your Lunchbox and Pantry Organization.  I loved these posts and hopefully was able to give a few ideas to others but in the spring I started a series, Fit for a Queen, and really thought I was ready to share so many ideas on a fit lifestyle.  Well, I was wrong and the timing was wrong.  I do think I have lots of great ideas on living a healthy lifestyle which can help others but starting this during the busiest time of my year led to a 3 and out situation.  Hoping to rekindle this series in 2016.

If fashion is your thing and you aren’t really interested in my wordy posts, all my favorite fashion posts through the year can be found in my Queen’s Closet review here.

I could go on and on but I’m sure if you made it this far you are all good!  I love this little space of mine.  One big lesson learned this year is to keep this space fun!  There were several times when life became {insert busy, crazy, stressful} and I really had to set the blog aside to focus on my family.  I stressed so much at first but at some point I had to remind myself this is suppose to be fun!  The best part, readers were still around when I made it back.

So thank you all who have read, commented and kept me going.  Thank you to all you other bloggers who continue to inspire me, respond to comments and create fun linkups as the time you are putting in has not gone unnoticed!  Wishing you all the best in 2016!
