Best of Prime Finds 2020
Amazon has been a favorite for awhile now, but 2020 seemed to see an increase in the number of packages that were showing up on my porch! Many times I think I was odering in a fog as boxes would show up and I was clueless as to what might be in them. After looking back over my purchases from the entire year, I returned a ton more than I kept but there were some clear favorites that were keepers. Today I’m sharing the best of prime purchases for 2020.
Be sure to hop over to Tanya’s blog where she host a linkup each month for prime purchases! It’s a great place to see what others arer loving.
One of my goals for 2020 was to replace our plastic tupperware with glass. I’ve also been on somewhat of an organization kick in my kitchen and finding a set that was all rectangular vs some square and some rectangle was a plus. The only downside to glass is they are heavy but I have not regretted the swap. We are still using a mix but I can already tell once the plastic is worn out I will permanently switch.
I may or may not have binged The Home Edit while I was quarantined with Covid in November! It inspired me to reevaluate some of my spaces and find a way to modify to be more efficient. I grabbed this 2 pack of Lazy Susan turntables to hold all my bottles of items in my spice cabinet such as vinegars, vanilla, oils and it has been a game changer. I can easily find what I’m looking for without moving multiple bottles out of the way.
Maybe this is a given for you, but I’m really bad about ordering based on guessing the size of my space and I really suck at guestimating! Big tip, measure your cabinets and shelves BEFORE you go on a major binge ordering organizational items! I returned the majority of items I ordered during my little coronacation.
If you love sending a little happy to friends, I love these little inspirational bookmarks. I’ve been using them for all my books as well and they are easy to keep track of. Pop one into a birthday card (I love these) and you have a sweet little pick me up for a friend.
This may seem like a weird share, but I initially ordered after seeing on a “best Amazon purchase” list. I was shocked to see I ordered this dish cloth in March and it is still going strong. I toss it into the dishwasher every time I run a cycle and it has held up much better than my regular dish cloths plus as it notes, no odor!
One of our favorite family purchases of 2020 was the slam ball game we took along on our beach getaway. It is so much fun and keeps the family moving!
My airpods were definitely my favorite gift of 2019 but I was forever misplacing them. I ordered this little case which I attached to my keys and I have not misplaced them once since! For under $7 it was a win for me! Side note, can we talk about what a game changer a push button start in a car has been for someone who was always misplacing their keys?!!
Admitedly, I was a little skeptical when I ordered these outdoor pillow inserts as to how they would hold up in the weather. I’ve been working on making our front porch more inviting and added a bench so a few seasonal pillows really dressed it up but it is not a covered porch. These pillows have been exposed to the elements completely and I’ve been so impressed with how well they dry and have not had any hint of mold.
We have a sofa in our front room on wood floors that has driven me crazy for years because it was constantly sliding. Even when I added a rug the couch still moved. Truth be told it is becuase Dutch is constantly jumping up onto it so he can bark at our neighbors walking by on the sidewalk! I decided to give these non slip pads a try and I have been so impressed. They have been in place since October and so has the sofa!
Probably my most used purchase on the daily in 2020 is this corner sink strainer. Initially I was pulling it out just when I needed to use it but found that was daily! It now has a permanent place in the corner of our sink and it has been so useful.
For most of fall I watched other influencers show off this sweater and every single time I would click over to Amazon and think, no way is that sweater cute. Well, finally I caved (probably also during the cornacation) and let me just say, the pictures online do NOT do this sweater justice. It has by far been my most worn sweater of 2020. It looks great with jeans, leggings and even my dress pants and it comes in a ton of colors!
There were of course many other keepers that I loved but I felt like these products really made an impact to our home or impressed me with their quality. You can find all my prime finds from the year below!
