Happy Wednesday friends! It’s time to show off your style with The Blended Blog. Summer has finally caught up to me so I’m getting back to basics with this easy black maxi. Adding pieces like this to my closet is always a no brainer as they make such an easy base for an outfit or work perfectly on their own.
For the office I threw on a blue jean jacket but I was just not willing to suffer through the heat to show it off to you ladies! It is often chilly in our office and a maxi is an easy way to keep my legs from freezing but still look pulled together.
This clutch, y’all, I cannot say enough about how much I love it. The colors are just so fun and it really has proved to be a great size. As if the summer Taj clutch is not fun enough, Stella & Dot has now added the fall Taj clutch as well.
I was also looking for a way to wear this new necklace from Stella & Dot. It is a super fun and colorful piece and pairing with all black seemed to be a winning choice. This necklace is a little pricey but an be worn three different ways. It makes a great item to work for if you host a party! Keith and I celebrated our 16th anniversary last week and it was the perfect dress to take from day to night! I had big intentions on writing a sweet marriage post like this 15 tips for building a better marriage or filling out a fun questionnaire together over dinner but this year I was lazy! We managed to get away for a quiet dinner and some one on one time and talked about how much has happened in 16 years and how the next 16 might look. We both agreed it is hard to believe it’s been 16 years!

Anniversaries are my favorite to celebrate…I love looking back at all we have accomplished and faced and seeing that we’ve still chosen love.
I love the clutch…it looks great with so many looks! I’m right with you on wearing the denim jacket in this heat. I saw a lady walking outside at our local shopping center yesterday wearing a shaggy vest. It made me hot just looking at her!
Hahahaha….seriously though…I saw someone in my building wearing a turtleneck recently and I had to do a double take. I mean, our building can get cold but there is no way I’m heading outside in a turtleneck in these temps.
