August Stitch Fix – Style Six
It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a Stitch Fix unboxing with you and I managed to brave the Texas humidity to grab some fun photos that show off my August Stitch Fix. I’m sharing the pieces I kept and what I returned today so scroll through and see if you would have made the same choice!
First up is this little top from Fun2Fun. I previously saw this top in an olive green and “pinned” it to my Stitch Fix board so I was excited to see it in my box. These type of tops are such a win for me because they can be dressed up for the office but also worn with jeans or shorts on the weekend. It is also super lightweight and for Texas temps that is a huge win. It may be hot and humid outside but then freezing in my office so it works well for layering under a jacket. Verdict? I kept this top!
One of my hard and fast rules when I receive a Stitch Fix box is to try on EVERY single piece even if I don’t think it will work. I kind of frowned at this Kaileigh top so I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it on and fell in LOVE. Such a cute fit with sweet little details that make it a little different. I love a top with the scoop on the side as they are just a tad more flattering on me. Verdict? I didn’t need this top but it will definitely work with so many things in my closet AND I can wear under a jacket and make it appropriate for the office. PLUS, I love how it looks with my fave new kick flare jeans!
Horizontal stripes are typically not a win for me but I was intrigued with the faux wrap detail. The fabric for this Market & Spruce dress is definitely quality and thick enough to make me feel more confident about any bumps showing off. I’ve already worn this to work this week and can think of about 10 different ways to style it! Definitely paring stripes with animal print is a favorite! Verdict…It’s a keeper!
Once temps start to fall, I can add booties or even tall boots and a jacket and it will transition so well. I have talked about Liverpool Los Angeles pieces previously and this black denim jacket is no exception. Their pieces are such nice quality and always with just the right amount of stretch. I really wanted to make room for this in my closet but unfortunately it wasn’t mean to be. Verdict – returned.
Lastly, this Market & Spruce top. I wanted to love it because it is so incredibly soft and would probably. look great with leggings but I didn’t love it on me. The color was just a little off and it was a tad too snug through the hips. Verdict – returned.
Have you tried Stitch Fix in the past? They have made some changes recently that have been really positive and led to my boxes being more exciting with less thumbs down pieces. You can now reveiw the pieces before your fix ships and decline what you don’t like. When this box was first put together I declined every single piece and gave instructions as to why. Then I also used the tools available and went through and ‘pinned’ some pieces to my profile. The new fix was so much more appropriatee for me!
You can also buy pieces directly now which I also love. I haven’t taken advantage of that just yet but have definitely been looking. One thing I love about Stitch Fix is the pieces are a little more unique and I know I won’t have to worry about running into multiple people wearing the same piece.
If you have never tried Stitch Fix, my code will get you $25 off your first fix!
