Athleisure Look – Style Six
It’s Wednesday which means I’m joining my Style Six sisters to share a look that has been a favorite lately. Grab your favorite look and come join us!
Do you love a good athleisure look or are you going to leave it for the younger crowd? The last year has not been easy for me and it is definitely reflected directly in the current size of my hips! Now, before you jump to conclusions, I’m not beating myself up but I am being honest.
Having a healthy and strong body to me is important and it can be measured in so many different ways NOT just the number on the scale. For me it’s a combo of how I feel combined with results from my annual physical. Both are slightly on the negative side right now and that’s just not okay with me!
While the majority of change will take place in the kitchen, I do feel my best mentally when I hit the gym regularly. Sadly I’m not very self motivated which means during our sheltering in place period I did not take advantage of online workouts at all. Now that my gym is open again I’m back to a regular schedule and I’m already feeling like I have more energy and sleeping better.
Of course having some new workout clothes is always a plus for me and I always add a new pair of these leggings during the Nsale. The pocket has been so handy for holding my phone and even my credit card. It makes it so much easier to rush out to the gym knowing I don’t have to worry about carrying my purse even if I need to drop by the store on my way back home.
Old Navy was having a great sale recently and I also picked up this workout top which I’m kind of having a moment over. I wasn’t sure I could pull off the cropped length but with the higher waisted leggings it’s a win! It comes in several colors and a stripe.
Tossing on a cardigan upon leaving the gym definitely makes me feel a little more covered if I do need to run any errands afterwards. It creates the perfect athlesiure look and leaves people wondering if you really just came from the gym or you’re just this trendy!
