5 Truths Friday
Spring is a time new life is all around but often after many months without sunshine it takes a little prodding before we feel ready to bloom ourselves. Here is my little gift to you, 5 truths on Friday which will hopefully be uplifting and speak to you in some way!
It’s true! Even on those days when you have yelled at the kids, secretly cursed the husband or made a huge error at work, you are still somebody’s favorite person! I’m not going to lie, some days it may only be your mom or your dog but the point is there is always someone who thinks you are the best even at your worst. FIND YOUR PERSON every day.
We get caught up in comparing ourselves to others and feel like giving up. We tell ourselves there is no way we could ever “have it all” like someone else. Well guess what? You CAN have it ALL! First you will have to take a good hard look and define what is YOUR all. For me, when I really get in the dumps thinking I will never have it all, I think of my family and friends and realize I already do! If every thing else was stripped away I have the people I want to do life with and I have my faith and that is my all!
Sometimes we spend so much time fighting growing older that I swear a few brain cells disappear. For me this looks like accepting myself for who I am and others for who they are. It means I am wise enough to know I own my life! Nothing from my past can affect my future or prevent me from absorbing the present unless I allow it to.
It’s true! There truly is enough out there for everyone to be a success but even the most talented individuals will never reach full potential without hard work.
Yes, your body will tell you when it does or doesn’t like physical exercise but it will also give you so many more signs. Finding the ultimate water intake to keep your body running efficiently and enough sleep to operate effectively is such a huge part of our physical well being and your already equipped with a body to tell you what you need! When you listen you will be surprised at how fast the stress is relieved, skin is refreshed and your overall health improves.
Do you have a favorite mantra you live by daily? These are some of the reminders I give myself but I would love to hear yours!
Be sure to stop by the linkup love tab in the navigation bar to see where I’m linking!
Love this!!! My mantra is …. Breath…Everything is happening exactly as it should, in its own perfect timing.
Love it! Hope you guys have a super weekend with NO bad weather Jessica!
I always try to remind myself that comparison is the thief of joy but I’d have to say my mantra really is just to simply say “Jesus” several times to myself and that ALWAYS gets me in check! Have a fabulous weekend!

One of Lysa’s books got me repeating Jesus to calm myself when things start to spiral. Sometimes it’s a quiet plea and sometimes I have to scream it but I agree it always gets me in check. Happy Friday!
Love the “You are always someones favorite!!” That makes me smile…trying to think who I’m a favorite of…
I’m sure there are many Katie! You seem like such an amazing friend to so many.
I loved Tammy Faye on that WB reality show years ago – The Surreal Life- so I had looked her up and found a quote that I like to think about often, “You can’t go forward looking in the rearview mirror…” Ok, now yes you actually can (it’d be unsafe not to when driving!) but we definitely have to keep our eyes on what’s ahead instead of dwelling so much on the past. Keep it moving, people! Have a great weekend!
Isn’t that the truth Allie? I spent so much time worrying over my past mistakes instead of focusing on my future. Those days…gone thank goodness. 🙂
You are always someone’s favorite person – that’s a great way to think of it!!! Definitely going to remember that when I feel like I am struggling!
Emily you can always know you are one of my favorite’s to read each week. 🙂
These are all really great quotes. I love the one about having it all!

I am going to remember that I am my dog’s favorite whenever I feel down!
It really is a way of thinking that can help get you through a crappy day(s)! Hope you are having a super weekend Kimberly!
Oh my gosh Shelly, I love all of this. You are one smart, insightful cookie!!! I love all your graphics too…I think I’m secretly a graphic junkie. Thanks for the words of wisdom and inspiration! XOXO Have a great weekend!
Ha! I don’t know about smart Lisa….maybe too many bad choices and challenges for growth along the way to lead me to search for the positive. I’m a graphic junkie too…sometimes the post is knocked out in a 1/4 of the time it takes me to decide on a graphic!! Hope you are having a super weekend.

Define your all…
