Happy 15th Dillon
Plus, yum! They have some really great food too.
I purchased the City Pass with a few stops and as luck would have it the George W. Bush library was super close to Topgolf so it was our next stop.
I thought at the very least these boys would be interested in the 9-11 piece of the library but then I quickly remembered they were not even born yet.
Day 2 and it just wouldn’t be a weekend with mom unless she embarrassed your friend right? I asked Dillon to take an outfit picture for me because the hotel was full of photo ops but Adrian just happened to be in my spot. Thankfully he has been unphased by my crazy (at least I think he has!)
We grabbed donuts from Mustang Donuts near SMU and then headed to the Perot Museum. If you are in the Dallas area this is definitely a win! Even these boys had a good time exploring.
No pictures but we also headed to the 6th Floor Museum. I’ve always been so obsessed with the JFK story and his death so I totally enjoyed it. The boys, again, totally must just not be into history.
The rest of the time we have basically spent hanging out at the hotel. I chose, Aloft, downtown Dallas. While it is downtown and near many different restaurants, it alsos just has a fun feel. Most Alofts try to re-purpose old buildings and this one is no exception. Loved the atmosphere, design and location.
After traveling with Carly and her friend to Fort Worth and San Antonio, this was quite a change. They don’t talk alot and when they do it’s usually to say “I’m hungry”. Boys are kind of hard to predict and entertain or it’s possible I’m trying too hard!
After a long day, we are ready for bed!
Happy birthday Dillon Keith! Hope your day was as special as you are.
What a wonderful trip with your handsome son! So many great memories.
Lol! Oh I can only imagine how different this would be than a trip with girls. You're such a sweet mama for taking them. I hope he had the best birthday!
Dillon look so muck like you! And I have to say, he is a pretty handsome fella. Happy Birthday!
So fun that you took them on a little road trip, I'm sure even though little was said they had a blast!
He's so handsome and grown up! You're a real trooper going on an overnight road trip with two teen boys!
My son turned 15 the Sunday before Dillon! That little boy is replaced with a young man…the years do fly, but it's so great to witness the growth – both physically and emotionally! Happy (belated) Birthday to Dillon!
Denise I totally agree! Even through those tough teen times it is still such a blessing to see them become young men!
Girl….it was exhausting! haha Fun…but exhausting!
Aww…thanks Stephanie! I love hearing that he looks like me…even though every expression and movement he makes is 100% his dad!
It was exhausting girl….but I am so glad we went!
I'm so glad we took the time to go away together. I know it won't be long and he'll be out of the house!
They both said it was worth it..haha. I hope it won't be the last time.
What a fun trip, you are such a great mom!!! My oldest turns 19 this week on the 19th and it will be the first time I won't be with him on his birthday, ugh! God bless your son always!
I loved being able to spend some time with him hanging with his friend. When he asked for me…alone…I had to jump at it!
