2017 Favorite Post Review
Did you survive the Christmas rush? Every year I tell myself I’m not going to stress and I’ve really tackled that right up until Christmas Eve and then sometimes I have a little moment. If I could just bottle all the laughs I know we are going to have together and focus my energy there I would always be excited for the holidays! That being said, I am taking a little break but will be sharing a few “year in review posts” and maybe some thoughts on where I want to head in 2018!
Today I’m joining Andrea of Momfessionals for her Show and Tell Tuesday series and sharing my favorite blog posts from 2017. I’ve taken a look at both the favorites close to my heart as well as those readers seem to have identified with most. If you are new here, these posts will allow you to know me a little better and give you a little hint as to what I love to share in this space.
Momlife
Loved this post, Adventures in Parenting, inspired after a sweet dinner with my first born! Parenting is definitely an adventure!
I may have also spent some time this summer feeling like a Martyr Mom and decided to share after I finally accepted the place I was in and knew I needed to stop the suffering!
Good Eats
I didn’t share many recipes in 2017 but the Chicken Enchiladas seemed to be a hit with those who tried them! My personal favorite was creating this Charcuterie Board and just maybe it is because I had never heard it called that before and love the word!
Home
We made so many changes in our home this year and crossed off so many of my wish list items. I shared our living room update with some tips to update the space in November. Hopefully I will have more to share soon with the remaining updates!
And I always love decorating for the holidays and showing off our home a bit!
Vacations
We started off 2017 on a ski trip in New Mexico with our “littles” and it was amazing! The remainder of the year our vacations were centered around baseball after Riley moved on up to Double AA ball and was closer to home! Keith and I enjoyed the most amazing trip to Scottsdale, Arizona and came back refreshed and determined to plan one getaway every year for just the two of us!
From the Heart
I purged my heart a little as I cleaned out a closet full of my dad’s things and it really hit me hard even after almost 13 years. Grief is definitely a hard subject and the older I get the more I feel I see more people struggling but it isn’t something any of us like to discuss. In the post When You Have No Words, I share a few tips on what you should and should not say to someone struggling with grief.
Celebrations
The blog turned 3 and I shared the milestones for the year which included a new design. I also celebrated my birthday by sharing 48 years of me!
Most Viewed
My most viewed post was the review on my spring Stitch Fix! I’m not going to lie, this is only because Stitch Fix also shared a link to this post on their site! Ha! But hey, views are views right?
I’m going to work on a survey in the coming weeks as I would really, really love to know what you most love to see here. I love sharing my closet and the fashion posts do receive the most traffic but sharing from my heart is really my favorite.
Many blessings to you and yours in 2018!
Celebrating your 3rd bloggy anniversary posts were the best! I always love your variety beautiful!
Yes, your chicken enchiladas are a very favorite over here at Chez Rohr! In fact I had some for lunch that were leftover from our party the other night. You always have great posts Shelly, you do a fabulous job! I wish you all the best in 2018 my friend!

Girl….do you even know how excited I get when someone tells me they love something i shared!! I am thinking I may just have to make those enchiladas tomorrow because they are the perfect comfort food and it is cold here! I’m really, really hoping 2018 is going to be the year I meet more bloggers in person…and YOU are on my list. Hoping I’ll be heading to Florida in March!
I love seeing all of these posts! I enjoyed the updating your living space, I feel like it can really work in any space for any taste.
Can’t wait to take the survey. I’ve loved following along with life in between this year!
