Holiday Style + Ageless Style Linkup
Today I’m joining with some fabulous ladies to show you a little holiday style! Last year I was part of a blog hop showcasing holiday style and it was so fun. Here is what I have in mind this year.
Most of the holiday parties I am invited to are somewhat casual in nature. This look dresses things up just enough to be festive without being cocktail attire.
I’ve been wanting a pair of faux leather leggings for quite sometime but finally found a pair at a local boutique for under $30 and pulled the trigger. Initially I ordered the Spanx faux leather leggings but they did not arrive in time for the party not to mention they were triple the price. They are pretty fabulous, though, but definitely more expensive.
I love the look of the bell sleeve with the fitted pants and this fur vest always takes things up a knotch. I’d love to grab a sexy little pair of sandals such as these Steve Maddens but so far I have not found a pair that do not make my toes look awkward.
I really hate I was not able to take proper pictures of this dress for today due to the weather because I love it so! I definitely chose a look that would make me feel classy but a little sexy and I definitely was shooting for something I could be comfortable in. I feel like this dress nailed it!
The shoes I have had for years and though they were once uber comfortable when I tried them on with this dress they definitely lacked any padding. I purchased Foot Petals and they made all the difference! It was a total win to spend a fraction of the cost of new shoes and be able to wear these shoes I adore for one more season.
Definitely a fun dress that I know I will have in my closet for years to come.

Hot mama! You nailed that look! I bet Keith was super proud of his date Saturday night. 🙂
Just stunning!!!

Isn't it crazy how shoes that were once so comfortable suddenly are not? I am constantly buying insoles of all types to make them comfortable again. I love the faux leather leggings. I've been hesitant to buy a pair because I'm afraid they'll be too hot but I keep seeing them and love how they look on everyone! #ineedtomovetoacoolerclimate
I can't get over that dress and that first outfit isn't one that just anyone could pull off, but you totally can.
This is one of the prettiest vests I've seen yet. You look amazing!
I need faux leather leggings, too! Glad you found a pair at a better price. I've seen the Spanx ones recommended elsewhere but I don't think I can justify the price for how little I would wear them. I love how you wore them with a fur vest and bright top…ready for the party!

Fur vests are so fun to wear for the holidays! 🙂 Melissa

Secondly I love that first outfit, it is festive and not typical. The lace bodycon dress is so sexy on you. Thanks for the linkup!
Love the first look! Perfect for a casual holiday get-together but still looks great and put-together 🙂

Cute outfit, I've just bought myself some faux leather leggings but they're not the best fit so may return them! I love your whole look. x Jacqui

Loved that you showcased 2 looks for Holiday Dressing. What a great idea as everyone tends to head to a combination of parties varying from casual to posh! I think your dress looks divine on you & so glad you were able to bring your shoes back to life. It is all about saving pennies where you can. Shooping your closet is key! Thanks so much Emma! I'm loving this fun outfit and cannot wait to wear again.
Thank you Amy! I am thinking if it is cool enough this will have to be my Christmas outfit. 🙂 Hope you are having a great day!
So true Diane. I don't mind investing in a great piece for my closet but I definitely will find ways to stretch the life as long as possible. Those shoes were so expensive but they have been in my closet since 2010!
I was really shocked for $26 how much I loved these!!
Thank you Sarah! I'm sure hoping to wear it for Christmas if our weather will cooperate.
Sweet friend I am so behind on reading my comments! Thank you, thank you, thank you! XOXO
Thanks so much Sarah! It has been a fun collaboration.
This one has been in my closet for years and every year I feel like I find a little different way to wear it. I think I wasted the first 3 pairing only with a turtleneck! Haha
I am seriously shocked, Lindsay, at how much I love these. I was really worried they would show more flaws but am pleasantly surprised.
I am seriously shocked, Kristin, at how much I love them! I initially ordered the Spanx because I really just didn't think I could get by with a regular pair but I'm seriously shocked at how much I love the $26 pair!
Thanks Laura! Talk about an investment piece…this was one of those I snagged on sale at a boutique and it has been around for years. I think every year I find a new way to wear it.
Ahh….thanks Beth! Sometimes I'm not so sure I'm able to pull things off but I'm feeling pretty good in this one. I was SO happy I splurged on the dress too….it really did turn out to be the perfect amount of fancy but still super comfortable.
I know Kellyann! I seriously don't know what happens to them. Granted…these shoes I've had since 2010 and I know the first two years I wore them almost constantly all winter!! I'm totally excited by the amount of comfort the petals added.
Thanks Momma!
Haha…I think he was. He's not a very good gauge for me though because he honestly would never dream of telling me if he didn't think something looked nice on me.
Both looks are fabulous!
I bought faux leather leggings last year and didn't think I would wear them much, but I have already worn them so many times… Your look with the red, animal print & fur is festive yet still comfortable and just the right amount of dressed up for a not-too-dressy party.
The dress is just beautiful, and I agree that you'll enjoy wearing it for years.

Andrea I was so shocked at how much I love them! Now I"m constantly looking for things in my closet to pair them with.
