November Goals
October is always a really busy but special month as we round up our birthdays for the year, but November is special too and thankfulness and gratitude seem to rise up and shine. Am I grateful all year? Yes, of course, but I do not always take the time for that extra random act of kindness or pause to remember the little things. With the time soon to change and the night falling faster each day, there is less guilt, for me at least, to slow down a bit. So what are my goals for November?
October reflection….
1. Track Habits….last month I started tracking a few things I struggle with like washing my face each night. I did great on some, terrible on others but knowing I had a “box” to color each day definitely made me conscious. I am proud to say I have only missed washing my face 3 nights the entire month and that is huge for me.
2. Blog 4X per week…DONE!
3. Healthy Living…I met my goal of hitting the gym at least 3 times each week and I was really, really good about logging my food and drinking tons of water during the week but the weekends I definitely fell out of the habit.
4. Date Night(s)…well we logged one so I’m counting this as a plus
5. Family Pictures….DONE!
November Goals….
1. Be Thankful! – Number one priority this month is to find thanks in everything I do!
2. Host Friendsgiving – Last year was the first I heard of this idea and I loved it so much! Hoping to join together with my friends Holly & Katy and host a Friendsgiving potluck.
3. Christmas Prep – Decorate the house for Christmas (post Thanksgiving Day) and ind one weekend or a few days in the week I can head out and tackle most of the gift buying for my family.
4. Organize Pictures – Both the files on my computer and the printed pictures are out of control. Setting aside some time to organize and file away (or actually scrapbook them!) is long over due.
5. Sit in a Deer Stand – Keith and the boys love to hunt and it has been years since I’ve gotten up at the crack of dawn and headed out to sit with him and watch the world wake up around me. This is his passion and I really need to make an effort to share it with him at least once this month.
What plans do you have this November?

Let’s Get Social
I cannot believe it is November already and Christmas is right around the corner! I need to get into the habit of making a list of goals each month, I am inspired!
I adore that you added sit in a deer stand to your list. I imagine it being so peaceful up there. You did great on your goals friend. Good job!
A deer stand? I have never heard of this before. Intrigued.
Deena I'm cracking up! I totally never even thought about someone not "getting" that. So some people buy these but we actually build ours…basically just a box with windows that open that we place on stilts so we can sit and look at the deer passing through. We fancy. 🙂
It really is Beth but I have not gone in years and years. We had a lease about 5 hours away when we first got married and we would take the kids and spend weekends there with no cell service and just good outdoor time. Now Keith's dad has property about 40 minutes from us so the boys just head out super early and I always opt to stay home with Carly. Keith loves sharing this with me…and pretty much anyone else..because it is his passion so I really should make the effort. Sitting in the dark and hearing the world begin to wake up around you is pretty peaceful.
Girl…I am trying so hard and I know you guys don't really need to see what I'm doing but putting it out here has helped me stay more accountable! 🙂
You amaze me. I should set some goals… but well,… I'm just hoping to make it through the week. 😉
The days of sitting in the deer stand with the Mister ended when he told me I made too much noise reading a book! That's it! I'm done! Party ovah! He's taking Alise this weekend, though! Maybe she'll do better than her Mama!!
Love hearing someone else say they wait until after Thanksgiving to put up Christmas decor. It's so hard to wait, but it's also hard to be in the Thanksgiving spirit which is a fall holiday with the halls already decked 🙂

I would love to help you with the scrapbooking goal! 😉
My husband has been trying to get me to go bird hunting with him for years! I still can't believe it's November. Love your goals post – I really need to do this!
Oh, gosh. Where did the year go? 🙂
Reminds me to do my own last minute goal checking and set new ones for 2017. OMG a few more days til 2017! Wow!
Laura…one time when Keith and I were dating and my hair was super blonde we did the "real" hunting thing. Hiking and hiding out trying to "rattle up" a deer. Well..he made me wear this camo net thing over my head because my hair was too distracting.
Now THAT is priceless! What till I tell Wayne!
