Today I’m joining Anne and Jacquifor a look at what is currently going on over here as well as Jenn and Jessi for What’s Hap-“pinning” Wednesday.
Discovering…There are only 52 shopping days left until Christmas! I think I’ve purchased like two gifts and honestly haven’t given it too much thought. Time to start coming up with some ideas.
Celebrating…another Halloween! I’m down to one little still interested in dressing up and I’m so trying to soak it up but 24 years of Halloween-ing is wearing on me. I’m ready to decorate my porch and sit in a chair with a glass of wine handing out candy. In the mean time I’m lucky enough to also celebrate having an amazing friend, Holly, who took care of putting together Carly’s entire crow costume. The girls were adorable!
Starting….a new month! I’ve been playing with using a bullet journal for the past two months and I think I have finally found a layout that works for me. There are things like washing my face, daily quiet time, fitness and drinking water that are so hard for me to keep up. Having a habit tracker and knowing if I do NOT do those things I will not be able to fill in that little block has made me think twice about skipping. Using the journal more for a place to write something I’m grateful for daily I love. There are days that are hard and I would really like to curl up and have a pity party but forcing myself to find something in the day that was joyful and/or that I’m grateful for ends the day on a positive note.

Wearing…It is still rather warm in Texas so the only hint of fall is having to come out in light layers such as this fab vest. It is perfect for our maroon out Fridays at work and I’m hoping we will have some cooler weather for an Aggie game this month! That is, if I get it back from my daughter! I totally planned to wear this vest for our family pictures but it worked for her and so of course like any good mom I let her rock it instead.
Googling…ideas for hosting Friendsgiving. Holly, Katy and I are just itching to host a girls night and our first ideas was a scarf exchange but then…life…so that didn’t happen. We really would love to host some girlfriends for a quick Friendsgiving and I’ve been googling invite ideas. Everything I’ve seen so far is a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Would love you girls to weigh in on this. Must we have a thanksgiving meal or could we mix this up a bit since most of us will still be having a traditional meal? Here are 10 Friendsgiving Ideas I found with some tips and funnies.

That maroon vest is so much fun and so perfect for you! I can't wait to see you style it.
Mentions of Christmas, shopping & friendsgiving = all things fabulous and bring it on! Love that vest btw! Also, supposed to be 80 degrees randomly today & tomorrow here inVA – what the heck??!
I can't wait to hear how the bullet journal goes for you! I loved reading Jordan's post a few months back!
A Friendsgiving sounds fun! Italian & Mexican are always easy dinners for people to bring something for. Or appetizers…you can never go wrong there!! 🙂

Those costumes are so cute. Friendsgiving sounds so fun! And I was in Texas last week too, and it's the same as it is here in Memphis. Upper 80s, it's crazy lol!!
My girls night in is usually appetizers and I love it! Your handwriting is awesome
Friendsgiving sounds fun. I think appetizers or desserts are always a good choice!

Planning a Girls Night In for this weekend myself right now! I say keep it simple and have lots of vodka! That's what I'm thankful for this year! Plenty of vodka!
I totally think we are going to go with appetizers and desserts Sarita! Makes for a much easier evening and much easier to include more girls. 🙂
I like the idea of a Thanksgiving meal with some non-traditional foods!
I like Laura's thinking.
I'm so not a turkey girl but I LOVE me some dressing (stuffing).
LOL….you crack me up!
I think I would have to agree Tanya. It's really just about the company too right?
