Spiel the Beans – Pinning Blindly
Welcome to the Spiel the Beans Linkup today where Katy and I are sharing some of our Favorite Pinterest Pins….that we know we will never try but Pin anyway!
If you have been around the blog this September, you know I’ve been participating in the Blog-tember Challenge. The prompt for today is to identify something that made me laugh or cry recently. Last week I asked my oldest daughter if she might be ready to write a guest post for the blog again and I was so excited for her to answer yes! Y’all, her post, For the Overthinker, definitely made me tear up a bit!!
Now, preparing for this Spiel the Beans Linkup today, however, definitely made me laugh! Y’all, seriously, I often wonder how much wine I may have already consumed prior to pinning some of these! I mean, I’m all about a good craft project but I’m also extremely impatient, hate cleaning up a mess and literally can use zero power tools!! Here are just a few of the Pins I saved that, while brilliant, I’m confident I will never, ever try!
Holy colorful hell….I mean really? Did I really think I was going to try this? I’m not sure there is enough wine. Carly was just sitting beside me as I pulled this together and she was all “mom, we should do this!”. I’ll let you guys know if this one makes it to our house!
All I’m going to say is no. I would pay twice as much to just buy this already put together!! Lazy, that is what I am but evidently I was feeling industrious the day I pinned this!
Right! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve dreamed of using a jigsaw and cutting out all kinds of those cute little Christmas cut outs for the front yard. Only problem? I’m deathly afraid of losing a finger. People who can turn a piece of plywood into art amaze the hell out of me! I love this.
Now it’s your turn to Pin it to Win it! Share your favorite Pinterest Pins, your Pinterest fails or your Pins you know you will never do! Please link to your specific post URL and not to your blog home page.
Please place a link back to this link-up in either your post or on your party page so that others can link up too. It’s a party, try to visit at least 2 other posts and show them some love! This is the fun part! Be inspired, inspire someone else – don’t just link and run!
We would love, love, love for you to follow us on some form of social media!
I'm the same way– love crafts but the mess!!? Man! I did the melt one and boy was there A huge mess after!!
Baha ha! I totally made the tomato cage trees years ago and I SWEAR they are so very very easy. I think we all have our pins that we pin even though we would never in a million years actually follow through with.
If you would have tried that pumpkin last week when we were still in the upper 90's you could have just sat it on your front porch and the crayons would have melted by themselves! 🙂
Melting crayons….no. I have had enough melt in my car.
Anything that I pin is DIY is for fun. I'll never get around to making any of them. Momma ain't got the time for that.
Okay I love that wall art…..wonder if I could buy it somewhere? I do love Pinterest but some of the DIY pins are just ridiculous and time consuming (and money consuming)

haha! I love this prompt…and that pumpkin..just seems like a pinterest fail ready to be photographed…or an oven full of crayon everywhere…
You are too funny! I am actually thinking I might try the tomato cage tree. 🙂
Ain't nobody got time for making your own Christmas tree! There are a lot of pins out there that are pretty questionable. Cute stuff, but who wants to spend time doing them? Hope you had a good Tuesday!
Right?!! I am always weighing my time and money together. I'm almost 100% positive I purchased a tree like this in a decorative pot, with lights on it for like $29.99. #worthit Haha
I love a good craft project Jennie…but I definitely have to weigh the cost of my time. I'm really not very good at following directions. lol Hope you have recovered!!
I seriously think I'm gonna have to let Carly Jo try the pumpkin!! I bought a huge box of cheap crayons two years ago to do one of those canvases and never did.
I know Ruth!! Isn't it cute…and really not hard (or so it looks).
I know Stephanie!! Me too….I dream all the time of doing all this crap in my "free time". Who am I kidding.
Right?! For sure I may have to let CJ try this now that she saw it though. Ugh
Hahaha….craziness!
Sarita give me tips!! Now that Carly saw it I think I'm gonna have to let her do it!!!
I literally busted out laughing when I saw the tree one! I have so many pins with GOOD INTENTIONS or yes maybe too much wine. LOL
Ok so you totally have to cover ALL of the floor with newspaper as the hot crayon splatters everywhere!! Maybe do it outside if you have an electrical socket outdoors.
