Floral + Leopard
Back to school means my thoughts have quickly shifted from summer to fall. Unfortunately here in Texas we still have at least another month of hot temps. I decided to take a first step towards fall with a fall floral dress and leopard clutch combo.
This sweet little dress was my first purchase from Gray Monroe last fall and I showed off fall floral 4 ways. Before I began reading blogs there is no way on earth I would have mixed leopard with another pattern. Thank goodness for learning leopard truly is a neutral and exp my closet!
As Gray Monroe continued launching their fall line, the Amy Leopard clutch caught my eye. I had been lusting after the Clare V. Leopard foldover clutch for probably two years but this very close look alike was definitely much friendlier on the bank account!
Enter this seasons #NSale and these Toms booties in this lovely shade of wine. I ordered the first day of the sale but sat on my decision for a month before deciding to take them for a spin. I’m happy to report they are super comfy, true to size and obviously look so adorable with this dress! I definitely think I will be getting my price per wear to a very reasonable price this fall!
And truly, how did I make it so long without a Kendra Scott Rayne necklace? I can hardly wait for my birthday month so I can grab something new.
So what do you think? Would you pull together an outfit with leopard and floral? I’m so glad I finally bought into the hype; leopard really is a neutral! While my dress is long sold out, here are a few floral dresses I think would be perfect fall transition pieces.

I've also thought leopard was a neutral! Love it. And yay I'm so glad the booties worked out for you. Love the color
This outfit is perfection! I just love that dress with the booties and the clutch is spot on. I've wanted the Claire V. bag too but there's no way it will be coming my way anytime soon because I have a whole list of items I'm lusting after! I can't wait for cooler weather!
I have so been waiting to respond to you until I had a chance to wear them!!!! I actually love them….stood at my standing desk almost all day Monday without having to remove them.
At $40 this one from Grey Monroe is a really nice substitute! I love bags but am so lazy and rarely take the time to change them out especially day to day. This one is the perfect size for date nights or girls night out. Hope you have a super day Kellyann!
What I am loving the most about this outfit is those booties. Oh my word they are SO cute!
I need that clutch!!!
Jaymie
I love that dress! It is absolutely perfect for fall. And like you, I often am afraid to mix patterns. I guess I should just do it!

Floral Fabulous! Oh and those Toms!!! I so had my eye in them, wish I'd gotten them, they look spectacular on you and with that great dress!!
I always love your outfits, but I think this is my favorite so far! Adorable! I absolutely love those Tom booties, too! I would have been just like you & hesitated on wearing them, but I bet now that you pulled the trigger on them you find tons on things to wear them with. I'm mean, wine is in the Aggie color wheel, right?
Just awesome! Love the whole look !!!! And yes, I use my leopard clutch with everything! I love it!
Perfect pattern mixing…definitely giving me some inspiration!
I love that dress, gorgeous! And the perfect length. I need a leopard clutch too. Also, I need a floral dress like that, so pretty.
Love that dress on you! And those booties! Eek! So cute!
Pops of animal print is always fun. And while I wasn't sure I'd like this outfit from your blog post title, I actually love it!
Love the subtle print mixing. Cute outfit but the burgundy booties is what really caught my eye!

My birthday is coming up in September. How do you get the Kendra scott discount if you can only order online? do you know? I have my eye on something. kandidlykim
Hi Kim! I actually think you have to go into the store for this one. I looked all around the site before I posted this blogpost and there is no mention of the birthday program.
Ahh…from the fashionista max herself….this means sooooo much!! Hope your school year is off to a fab start!
They are fabulous Abby!
It took me so long to actually take a chance on mixing this one up Stephanie. I really think the key is finding the right balance between the prints and not every floral + leopard would actually work. Know what I mean? Hope you are having a great week!
You would look adorbs and YES…every blogger needs the leopard clutch! You also need to check your gmail!!! just sayin 🙂
Thanks Vanessa! I have already worn the booties twice this week!!
I have already worn them twice this week Emily!! Definitely will find lots of wear in Aggieland.
I definitely think the leopard clutch is one of my fave purchases!
Yea for inspiration! I seriously tried out some new outfits this week from my very own closet and it's been lots of fun!
You will probably see them too much from me Andrea…I've worn twice this week already and they are so comfy!
I really did think people were crazy thinking it was a neutral Liz! So glad I finally took a chance.
Thanks sweet lady!
Absolutely give it a try Nina! I started really, really slowly.
You so do Jaymie! It's perfect.
Beth they are fab! I have already worn them twice this week and am thinking they will be a hit tonight for a live music outing we are heading to.
haha, thanks lady! Totally just saw this…I need to be better about checking email!
ok thanks – we have no Kendra scott in NJ or NY. we need one.
Aww what a sweet thing to say. But seriously you totally SLAY in this!
So far I have better kids than last year … fingers crossed they stay that way! 😉

What a gorgeous outfit to transition into Fall. I own the Lavender and Emerald Green Rayne necklaces. I need some maroon booties and that gorg leopard Clare V look-alike.
