Stitch Fix Review

·

Stitch Fix #7 arrived last week and I have to say I was really pleasantly surprised!  The last two fixes I have ordered were complete flops.  Like I sent the entire box back and forfeited my $20 styling fee.  Even after providing links to Pinterest and my blog the stylist just was not at all “getting” my style.  I had a credit and decided to take a chance again and the stylist assigned, Summer (maybe her name was a good sign!) knocked it out of the park!  She did her homework and definitely picked items I would wear.
One thing about Stitch Fix is you definitely want a great profile but you also want to be sure to ask for things you might be wanting to add to your wardrobe.  I was looking for a dressy pair of black shorts but unfortunately they did not have a pair available.  Summer chose these adorable Level 99 patterned shorts and let me tell you they were yum!  The fabric was just a tad stretchy and  very breathable.
This top is Market & Spruce and it was simple in the front but had a split back with a lacy inset.  It did wrinkle very, very easily and the price definitely made this something I passed on.  I tried to turn around and take a picture of the back and thank goodness I did because as cute as these shorts are, from behind all I could think was “wide load”.    A pattern on my hiney needs to be dark for sure!  Here is a pair of  Level 99 Shorts I did find online and they are good quality but definitely pricier than my fave J. Crew Factory shorts.
These Diba embellished lace up sandals were also in this fix and I really had high hopes I would love them. First of all, I have zero clue if I even laced them correctly and I decided quickly despite the fact these are in style right now, they were not a choice I’d make.  On top of that, keeping them on while walking was near impossible.
One thing I love about Stitch Fix is receiving pieces you will not find just anywhere.  This Papermoon top is adorable and made specifically for Stitch Fix!  I was almost scared to try it in fear it would not work.   The lace detail is just perfect and I can see this being dressed up with a skirt or slacks and a jacket or dressed down with colorful shorts.  I have been watching these Dolce Vita Lace Up Wedges since maybe February and finally snagged when they went on sale.  They are super comfortable but I am definitely glad I read the reviews and ordered a 1/2 size down as they run big.
What do you think?  Isn’t this top a keeper?

Saving this little Everly romper for last.  Y’all, Summer even noted she sized up after seeing a notation on another romper I posted regarding length.  I died over this pattern and knew as long as it fit it would be staying.  The only thing this romper is missing is pockets.
I can hardly wait for our next date night so I can pull this baby out!

What do you think?  Did I make the right choice? If you are ready to schedule a fix I would love for you to use the STITCH FIX REFERRAL link.  Yes, this does mean I will receive a referral credit but if you pass along the good word with your very own link you might just pick up some credit for yourself!

In April I reviewed a similar service, Trunk Club, and while I was super excited with the trunk I received and the ease of “shopping”, evidently the assigned stylist was having a few issues after the fact.  I do apologize to any of you who used the referral link to sign up for a trunk and never heard back.  So frustrating but obviously a little flaw.

This post contains affiliate links which means I receive a small commission each time someone makes a purchase through one of my links (at now additional cost) which helps to support the blog. The Stitch Fix link is a referral link and I will receive a small commission if you click through and sign up for your own fix.  If you do sign up for Stitch Fix you will receive your own referral code to share!

  1. That romper. Oh my goodness it is amazing. I have tried on a few lately but I am having a hard time finding one that I like the fit, pattern and material. Yours looks like it meets all 3 of those!

  2. Absolutely right choices!! That romper is va va va Voom…hot and cute at the same time!! And I'm a sucker for a unique precious detail top…love it!!

  3. I clicked on this post because of the romper! I love it, and you are rocking it 🙂 I want to buy a romper so badly but haven't found one yet to buy that I'm confident I'll look okay in, and I'm afraid all I'll want to wear is rompers all weekend haha.

  4. I love both of the pieces you kept!! I've never worn a romper, but love the look! I may have to be on the lookout for a similar one! That floral pattern is adorable! Score for you!

  5. Yes!!!! Wild applause!! The things you kept were amazing and honestly the things you didn't still looked SUPER cute too. I understand why you sent them back for sure, but they are SO cute in the pictures!

  6. Stitch Fix is so much fun and I think you got some great pieces! Too bad they aren't shipping to Canada, yet.

  7. I loved all of the clothes you got, very cute. I have had one pair of sandals that laced up the leg and I couldn't keep the laces up my leg or the shoes on when the laces fell down. lol Not a fan.

  8. I keep seeing bloggers post about Stitch Fix and love reading all the reviews. I think it might be time to get on that bandwagon! My fav is the striped tank with lace bottom, I think it looks really flattering and not over the top! FYI, I'm hosting my first ever Wednesday Linkup and would love to see you get linkin 😉
