What's Up Wednesday

What We’re Eating this Week

Maybe it is always this way during out busy season but we sure have been off our meal planning game! It would probably help if I pulled out my handy dandy meal planner instead of letting it sit lonely on the shelf it would help. Erin currently has her shop open for orders and this planner really does make planning and grocery shopping for the week much simpler.

Cook Once Eat All Week

Cassy Joy’s first book, Fed and Fit has been a favorite of mine for delicious, healthy recipes so I’m excited her newest book released this week. Cook Once Eat All Week should arrive today and I’m eager to check it out and see how her method works for our busy life.

What I’m Reminiscing About

Nine years ago I took my mom to Nashville and we had so much fun! My mom loves music, especially country music so it was so much fun to see here soak up Nashville. Jordan leaves this week for a girls trip to Nashville and I’m so jealous!

What We’ve Been Up To

It’s really been a whirlwind this spring with lots of baseball, dance, and more baseball.

Queen's Chronicles

Thankfully we threw in a beautiful Easter weekend and saved a baby cow or it might have gotten really boring!

What I’m Dreading

Not a thing!

What I’m Working On

Getting my blog rhythm back! I have so many things I want to share with you and really just cannot seem to find the time to prepare!

What I’m Excited About

Beauty Counter products have peaked my interest for awhile now and I decided to try a few things during the 15% off sale recently. I am LOVING how great my skin looked the day after using this overnight resurfacing peel. If you use Beauty Counter products I’d love to know some of your favorites.

What I’m Watching/Reading

March Book Review

This month I just wrapped up I’m Fine and Neither are You and it was a quick so/so read. As a Kindle Unlimited read it was free but I’m not sure I would spend money on this one. This week I started Since You’ve Been Gone this week with higher hopes for a page turner.

What I’m Listening To

My gals on Marco Polo. Seriously this has become my new favorite way to communicate every day. After our Nashville trip, these 5 ladies and I created our chat group and we seriously talk almost every single day! I loved it so much I’ve convinced more friends to join and video chatting just feels so much more personal than texting!

What I’m Wearing

White Tee | Camo Pants | Wedges

We are still having a few days that start a little chilly and I’m positive I’ve worn this cardigan no less than 10 times since purchasing the first weekend of April. I was hesitant about the price at first but it more than paid for itself with the number of wears and evidently I wasn’t alone because it sold out!

I’ve also still been wearing these wedges non-stop. They are a perfect neutral and not too high and for or me they have been super comfortable. Sadly they are sold out in the snakeskin. My fave wedges from last year also have a great neutral snakeskin I’ve got my eye on.

Shorts | Similar Top | Hat

Carly Jo and I both picked up these shorts recently and I’m fairly positive we have both already gotten our moneys worth. Super comfortable and a good 4″ length. They are drawstring which I was iffy about but decided I loved with the right top.

White Jeans | Top Similar

I mean, do you see what I mean about the cardigan and the wedges? Here they are again! Of course I’m pairing with my fave white jeans and another one of these ruffle sleeve tops I can’t seem to get enough of.

Blazer | Dress (Romper in same pattern)| Nude Shoes

I grabbed this little dress from a local boutique to wear for Easter and I’m so in love with it. It will make a super date night dress or would also work for a wedding or other summer social event. The blazer was another splurge for me this month but definitely an investment I expect to see in my closet for a long time. Not such an investment was this little purse!

Romper |Wedges

I’ve really been wanting to share this romper with you guys and hope to have a chance to do a better shoot later. Rompers are hard for me due to my short torso and longer legs but this one worked so well with the criss cross top. I’ve loved wearing it to work even if it is always tricky on potty breaks! I definitely think it works dressed up or down.

What I’m Doing this Weekend

We have a free weekend and currently not one thing on the schedule and I’m really hopeful I will change out my closet for spring/summer! Am I crazy to be excited about this?!!

What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month

May is always busy! We have dance recital, dance showcase, junior prom and baseball playoffs. Throw in Mother’s Day, Teacher Appreciation and end of school activities and we will no doubt have a full month.

But then…schools out for summer! Even though I work during the summer, knowing I don’t have the daily responsibility of shuttling kids around for school is something to look forward to!

What Else is New

Don’t forget to linkup tomorrow and share your throwback to memories of your mom!
