Spring Break Style

·
We have been in Orlando since last Friday and even though we are back in Texas we are still on Spring Break through the week.  Here are a few of the outfits I wore while we were traveling!
My fave J. Crew Shorts (I prefer either 4″ or 5″) were perfect with the new Target cold shoulder top I picked up just before we left.  I wore this top twice while we were gone; once with the navy shorts and once with the royal blue.  Plus I could not help thinking how great it will be for July 4th!  I wear these Gigi sandals all the time and they are worth the splurge.  I can walk miles in them and my feet are still fine.
Me and my girl at the Kennedy Space Center….more on all the fun later this week! I also loved the Street Level tote I decided on especially since it could be used as a shoulder tote but also came with a cross body strap.  PS….I love the hubby’s shadow in this picture. 🙂
While not these exact patterned shorts, I did wear patterned shorts with a sleeveless tank on our first day of Disney World.  I layered this long sleeve Gap top while it was still cool in the morning and sported my Converse for comfort.  I’m a weirdo and do wear socks with my Converse.
We had so much fun on our first day!
Not my exact swimsuit but the La Blanca suit I have is almost the same and it has been so flattering.   I actually do not feel self conscious wearing it around the pool.  A lady was wearing this one at our resort and it was so flattering.  I picked up a J. Crew Factory swim cover up last year and actually ended up wearing it with white jeans too.  This is a different pattern than mine but still super cute.  My Reef flip flops are also from lat year but these Toms are very similar.
A fun colored pair of J. Crew Factory shorts paired with a striped tee and my Converse were perfect for a morning at Disney World with this crew.
On our last day we headed to the Astros Spring training facility in Kissimmee to watch a big league game against the Nationals before hitting the airport.  I knew it would be very warm at the game but for sure wanted to be comfortable on the plane.  My fave gingham button down was perfect with my navy shorts.   I’ve been asked about my necklace so many times but unfortunately I purchased locally at a boutique in town.  This fun Kate Spade pendant which comes in several colors would be a fun choice.   Like I said I’m loving the Street Level tote which held my Macbook, my iPad, a book and all my regular purse items with no problem.  I showed my carry on bag packed on Friday Favorites last week and this is the exact bag from Target.  We purchased last March and have traveled with them several times and I’m loving how they have held up.

After all this sunshine and spring like weather it is going to be tough to adjust back to cooler temps and rain the next few days. I have to say though I’m not totally sad.  I love the warmer temps but I know it will be sweltering here before we know it.
Hope you are all having a super week!

  1. Loved the Paisley cold shoulder top! Ordered one so I will see how I like it on me. And I wear socks with my converse as well. I wear the no-see ones and I guess I can't imagine NOT wearing socks with them especially on a warm day. Ew. LOL

  2. Oh I went and picked up that cold shoulder top and I LOVE it! So cute! Will be perfect for Memorial Day bbq at the club and 4th of July!! Thanks!

  3. Yea! I think it's adorable. So crazy because I first ordered a floral one that seriously looks like the same fit but it was not flattering on me. So crazy how a pattern can change the look! Can't wait to see how you wear it!!

  4. Only you can fashion Disney like no other. So many cute items here. So happy you had time away and enjoyed yourself. Have a wonderful weekend.

  5. You wore some really fantastic casual looks, Shelly! That cold shoulder top is So cute; I just love the pattern and colors. I have some patterned shorts almost identical to the ones you wore, except mine have a white background. Looks like such a fun trip!
