Easing Into Spring

Texas weather is always a surprise and this year has been no exception.  After a seasonably warm winter, spring seems to be arriving quickly and the temperatures are easing up to near 80 each day.  This look was easy to pull together showing some touches of spring color with light outer layers.
Nothing like falling in love with a color to follow along with a baseball team!  I have never been super crazy about orange but ever since Riley joined the Astros organization I have found myself grabbing for this color.
Loft and J. Crew Factory are typically my go to stores for cardigans but Target always seems to have a great selection of colors too.   The Pleione tops come in great patterns and are perfect for layering.

I picked up this fun necklace at a local boutique last summer but this leopard cuff has also become a daily staple and it can be found here.  My friend Holly is always finding cute little trinkets such as this little stretchy bracelet which comes from 31Bits which has a great mission helping Ugandan women.
I’m still not ready to give up my boots 100% and these Steve Madden OTK boots were definitely one of my favorite purchases this winter and they are still on markdown here.  I think I am sufficiently stocked up on every boot and bootie I need for the next several years!
I ordered a 2nd pair of these black pants from Ann Taylor and was super excited to catch them marked down to $29.50.  They are labeled as leggings but are thick like a pant and I have definitely been wearing regular…like maybe 4 out of 5 days a week…to work.
I love how this outfit came together and looks so effortless.  It was comfortable and I felt great wearing it.

  3. Orange is a GREAT color on you! I'm in WI and our weather has been CRAZY–one week it was literally single digit temperatures, the next week it was a springlike 60 and the week after that we received several inches of snow! Liz familyoffoley.wordpress.com
