Love is in the Air

· ·
Linking up with Astleigh and Rachel to show off season of love decor.  I’m not positive where the month of January went or what I was doing but I really drug my feet decorating for valentines day.
When in doubt just add fresh flowers!  I love pretty much any kind of fresh flowers and this peachy pink rose is one of my favorites.  I picked up a huge bouquet while grabbing super bowl snacks..yea me!
Tulips are my favorite this time of year and I will take them in any color.  I created this love plaque by combining a couple of items from the Target dollar spot
I still love this burlap banner I made about 4 years ago and I’m so glad it has held up so well.
I picked up these pillows on sale 50% off at Kohls and they have given our bedroom just the right touch of love.  I also have a few pillows in my cart at Nordstrom that I’m really hoping will go on sale soon…you can check those out here||here
This is my favorite little project to pull out each year!  It is a tad time consuming but so incredibly easy to make and you can find the tutorial here.

I love picking placements which work for Christmas but will also stretch right on into Valentines Day and then make an appearance again for July 4th.  I love these simple placemats I picked up before Christmas at Target

Valentines day also starts my favorite chocolate season.  Dove chocolates are my fave and I love the hearts with a little message under the foil.  I happened upon a couple of Dove red velvet swirl chocolates this past week and oh..my…goodness!!  They are so yummy and I will definitely not be buying because I doubt I could resist them in my house!
What is your favorite way to add a few love touches to your house?

  2. Love how you made the LOVE plaque from Target Dollar spot!!! I too love flowers…they are definitely my love language and I plan to stop in at Trader Joe's on the way to our beach house on Thursday and buy some for a little pick me up this weekend ……Have a fabulous week!

  3. We don't decorate much for Valentine's now that the girls are no longer home. Might need to add a few touches though.

  4. I love your pretty Valentine's Day decor, especially that fun bunting and the cute plaque you made! You're making me want to go buy some fresh flowers to put in my house too!

  5. I think ours gets less and less every single year Lauren. We even have little mailboxes but with Carly being the last "little" in the house she is the only one really into it. I do love when I find that my hubby has left her a note though…so sweet.

  6. I am really feeling like I have failed on the Valentines decorations this year. Your house looks amazing! Happy TOHOT. 🙂

  7. I adore all your touches of love. Your banner is fantastic!

Thank you so very much for joining Thoughts of Home on Thursday. Your presence really helped to make it very special. I hope you will return again and again.

Have a wonderful weekend and Happy Valentine's Day!

  8. Love all the Valentine touches…I don't really decorate for Valentines (it's research paper time in the classroom,, and I am EXHAUSTED), but I love looking at everyone else's!
