Show and Tell Tuesday – Day in the Life of the Queen
Time for another fun Show and Tell Tuesday with Andrea from Momfessionals! I have wanted to do a day in the life post for a long time but honestly rarely, if ever, are any two days the same at our house. The only thing routine is the fact that there is no routine! So here is a little glimpse at a Monday in November for the Queen in Between!
I am not a morning person but honestly if I do not workout first thing in the morning chances are I will find a way to flake. I obviously need to update all the multiple alarms on my phone! Please note I will get every minute of sleep as I wake up at 5:10, dress, kiss the hubby goodbye and head to a 5:30 class as quickly as possible. I may sometimes sleep in my workout clothes but I will never tell!
I grabbed a quest bar (vanilla almond crunch is my fave) and mixed a shaker of Spark. Spark is my most favorite energy drink and mango strawberry my fave flavor.
Workout begins at 5:30 and lately I have only been able to stay until 6:15 so I can make it back home to get Dillon to morning football practice.
As you can see he looks fully awake and prepared to go kick some tail at his workout!
Dutch loves going to take the kids to school and he cries the entire time watching his boy walk in.
Back home and I pour myself some coffee.
I checked a few emails and enjoyed my coffee for about 15 minutes.
I do not always wash my face at night but I always make sure I use my clarisonic and R&F in the morning after my shower.
I am super low maintenance and it took me exactly 8 minutes to put my makeup on! I knew I was quick but did not realize I was that quick. These are my favorite products.
Last Monday I had 6 moles removed so I’ve been having to doctor those up before getting dressed…keeping it real.
My kids are really independent and do not really like me helping them in the morning so Carly was dressed and ready to go and chatting with me while I was getting dressed. Obviously she was also leaving me some selfies and I was completely clueless! She gives me updates at least every 10 minutes as to what time it is.
We head to drop Carly off at school and Dutch is excited to ride along and I’m pretty sure he knows he’s going to daycare!
I dropped him off on my way to work and despite his tail trust me he loves this place! I know I’m crazy but I love taking him twice a week for some exercise.
Arrived at the office and this is pretty much my view for the day. Initially I had meetings at 10 and 12 but they were both cancelled and that makes for a better Monday!
I had to run out at lunch for some feminine hygiene products (TMI I know) and I mean when at Target……well let’s just say they have some super cute ponchos and wraps right now!
Picked Dutch up from daycare at 5:20
Ran him home and took my OOTD selfie before it got too dark….darn daylight savings time is going to really put a damper on my outfit pictures!
Headed to pick up these girls from dance at 5:45
And then settled in to watch the big rival 8th grade football game. We lost but it was a great night watching the boys play at a high school stadium complete with bands, cheerleaders and dance team performances!
Sadly I had too much fun Halloween night and spent Sunday recovering which means there was no meal planning for Monday! I picked up Chicken Express on the way home and everyone was happy as clams.
My housecleaner was coming Tuesday so I picked up the house and put clean sheets back on Dillon’s bed and we were all in bed by 10pm.
I really do think about those days long ago when I was so in control and had a schedule…..4 kids later and a husband who works 2 hours away and that is no longer an option for me. It took some adjusting for my type A personality but I have definitely converted….mostly.

I started getting up early doing my workouts and I agree with you if I don't do them first thing of the morning I will flake out and not do them at all.
Those morning workouts are the best!! What a busy day! I pick up before my house cleaner too!
Are we crazy or what Sarita?!! I just have to…I don't want her organizing I need her cleaning. 🙂
Totally…no matter how much I plan to have an afternoon workout inevitably something comes up.
It's your season Shaunacey….embrace it! There will be plenty of time for working out in your 40's! haha
OK – I was looking for #18 till mid way through the second quarter! How did I not know he was #41?!
Well you might have seen more watching #18 at least. haha
Love these day in the life posts! Girl I don't even know what a schedule is anymore ! And you look so adorable every darn day!!!!
Dang Girl…..I wish I could get my large hiney out of bed to work out!!!!! Love the realness of this post!
Whatever! You can come with me anytime to workout…I will get you moving!
Right? It's just easier not to have one for me. Hope you guys are settling in!
Cool to see a day in your life! Getting excerise done in the morning is so bittersweet to me. I get it done, but mornings are not my time. Quest bars are the best! But I know I could be addicted to them so I try not too many at once or I'll eat them all right away.
I definitely have to make sure to only eat one per day….I order from Amazon by the box though because the price is better. 🙂
