Halloween Touches
I previously shared the simple fall decor I added to create a warm and cozy look for my home. I was really excited to have the fall decorations out early so come October 1st a few Halloween inspired items could be added here and there. I don’t go overboard with Halloween but this is a fun month at our house so I do like to pull in a few things.
I picked up this banner at World Market last year and it worked perfectly with the rest of my decorations. I was so excited to pull it out again this October.
I was browsing Michaels a few weeks back for Carly’s birthday and found this Wicked sign and had to have it at 40% off.
I found the spider branches at Pier 1 probably three or four years back and thankfully most survived our puppy Dutch last October.
I just love all the Day of the Dead items and found this skull at World Market last season. I picked up the two mason jars with led candles in the dollar spot at Target recently and they have been a fun touch.
My front table is always one of my favorites to decorate. I found the two plates last year at Michaels 50% off. A few skulls for my vase and it is looking scary but not too overwhelming.
I don’t think I thought to add the skull to the candle holder last year but I’m liking how it turned out. The J and 6 I picked up on my trip to Round Top last week and while this will not be their permanent home I thought they added a fun touch to the fall decor for now.
One of my besties gave me this plate probably 5 years ago and I always love pulling it out and thinking about her!
And friends….I thought the Pumpkin Vanilla Marshmallow candle was going to be my favorite this season but oh my goodness this one smells amazing!

Oh, Shelly! I love it all!! So simple and inviting, just perfect for fall! I really, really love that banner and I think your mantle is my favorite piece that you decorated! Thanks for telling me the motif of the skull! I've seen those all around town, but didn't know what to call them. I STILL have not done ANY fall or Halloween decorating in our house this year. #fallfail #halloweenfail But I'll make up for it at Christmas!
I love all your decor! I have dropped the ball on decorating for Fall or Halloween this year. I am ready for November 1st when we get our Christmas stuff out!
And that candle is amazing! I picked that scent up last year and fell in love with it! I get the soap now too!
I love all these touches – just perfect! The banner is such a nice touch. I can't get enough of my fall candles right now – why do they all smell so good!?
Oooh, what fun Halloween decor! Tasteful and attractive. The banner is the perfect touch of elegance.
Thanks for sharing and linking up to the #SHINEbloghop.
Wishing you a lovely day.

Hi Shelly
I just love all the Halloween touches all over your house. It all looks wonderful, and I love the wicked sign too! Stopping by from Shine Blog Hop!
I love your Halloween banner!
And that Day of the Dead candy skull is pretty cute. I have a good friend who had that tattooed on the majority of her arm 😉
Everything is just perfect! Love the front entry way! And the J6 is perfect! Not once ounce of decorating has happened over here…ugh!
I have a lot less to decorate friend! Can't wait for some fall fun this weekend!
Thanks Rachel! And thanks for hosting.
Thank you! I just love having fall decorations out…makes me feel all warm and cozy. Thanks for stopping by!
Thank you Jennifer and thanks for hosting the linkup!
I keep hoping the smells will curb my sweet tooth!
This is the first year in a long time I have been on the ball. The rest of my house is a disaster but I can sit and enjoy my cozy living areas!
This is the first year in a few I have been on the ball. And seriously…I haven't been back to the kids side of the house in way too long. Eek…3 day weekend coming up and I'm hoping to tackle some room purging.
I love all of your decor!
